• The Grid Stability Index for the day was 2.90 (lower is better).
• The last of the lost UTF8 characters from the databases were finally restored this morning.
• Much of the day saw stability problems that were not limited to a rack or two of simulators going off the air, or central services updates that caused logins to be closed for around 40 minutes, or several random bursts of login system failures through the day.
• Updates however did fix two otherwise unnoticed bugs, also simulator crashes are down - particularly due to physics-based causes. Some simulators still seem to have prolonged and persistent communications and asset problems, however.
• Pastrami Linden's special office hours session got a change of venue five minutes after it was supposed to have started. This caused confusion for much of the next two hours, with many people who intended to attend missing out.

• Linden Lab is a bit baffled by the negative reactions to the recent price drop, and is offering some deal-sweeteners.
• Moo presents the SL version of that infamous Bravia commercial.
• While Linden Lab hastens to assure us that third party violations of trademark guidelines aren't a terms-of-service breach, that isn't what the terms-of-service say, and the TOS is worded to defeat contradictory assurances.

This situation can, alas, be difficult to distinguish from recent normal operation of the grid at around the same time of the day.
• The big news is that IBM have what appear to be Agni grid simulators on their own corporate network as a part of a larger initiative.
• We look at the way things collide under Havok 1 and 4.
• 3D Connexion is making a big splash about their already-supported Space Navigator mouse being supported from around mid April this year. We're asking some questions about that. The mouse is widely used by SLCN.tv and many machimima makers.

• Philip Linden and others testified before a Congressional subcommittee on Tuesday morning. If you've seen one such hearing, you've more or less seen them all -- they're often quite formulaic. Nonetheless you can watch the video of the session (Windows media), and a few interesting things did get said during the course of things.
