There's a new spy in town. 007KIN is kicking buttocks and taking names as he searches for answers. Personally, we think that a Moonkin makes a much more formidable opponent than James Bond could ever hope to be.

VoodooRay did a great job of inserting the World of Warcraft model-viewed character into the action. This isn't the first time he's Moonkin'd a movie, though. His classics include 300 Moonkins, Enter the Moonkin, and The Da Moonkin Code!

Galen Maly, better known as Yume in the World of Warcraft machinima world, has created some of the most popular exploration videos on his platform of choice. Arithmomania, a video backed with a Dogzilla soundtrack, is easily the most known, though, topping many favorites lists. It will not only get your heart pumping, it will inspire you with the different transitions and mass text effects, which he has made available. However, YouTube does not do this video justice. ChrisT has created a tutorial on how to edit World of Warcraft footage into a machinima. While he skips the step where you would capture the gameplay with a program like Fraps, he does show how to do certain things in Sony Vegas. This video is suited towards the beginner to intermediate levels of video editing, with tips on velocity, editing on beats, panning, and masking.

You may need to pause or skip backwards in order to follow along, as this how-to is quite fast-paced. However, if you're interested in getting started in WoW machinima, it's worth checking out!

For some videographers, machinima can be a lucrative business. Myndflame, the creators of the Illegal Danish series, have made a full time living for over a year now producing machinima for clients. Using World of Warcraft, they've recently released a commercial for Slim Jim, the beef jerky stick. In the ad, they focus on a knight that has problems rescuing a fair maiden until the product is introduced.

While WoW is a popular machinima platform, Blizzard has imposed a Fair Use Guide that restricts how machinimators can profit from their work. In the case of this specific video, Slim Jim most likely received a content use license from Blizzard.

Insomniaddict Productions is hard at work on his new machinima series, Narien Asks. In order to promote the series ahead of time, he created this humorous trailer, Narien Arrives. While the video was mostly created with World of Warcraft and the WoW Model and Map Viewers, he also used Second Life to customize the truck featured briefly in our favorite scene. There's no word yet on when the series comes out, but we hope it's just as funny as today's Cinemassively!

At the beginning of this year, when we reviewed In For A Penny: Prologue, we called Selserene the "IT" girl of 2008. We're pleased to say that we weren't wrong. In For A Penny: Part One - "On All Eight" is a true work of art, considering that it was made within World of Warcraft.

"On All Eight" is about a falsely convicted man, Thayle, that puts everything on the line for a woman, who holds the key to his future. The film itself is a visually stunning masterpiece. It clearly took quite some time to write the story, find the actors, and edit a piece with such custom scenery. The result is something that would hold up against a real film noir.

Life's a beach, and this orc is ready to party, in Beach Party 2: Endless Waves. When he moves to a new town, he thinks he'll never make friends, but then he stumbles onto the beach. Between surfing, saving the local hangout, and dancing the night away, his summer schedule is suddenly full, and he learns the meaning of love and friendship.

This machinima, created by Jun Falkenstein, of Stone Falcon Productions, was created way back in November 2006. She created it to enter the Blizzard and Xfire 2006 Summer movie contest, where she won second prize in the Short Feature category. She employed a beach movie theme, which was wildly popular in the Frankie and Annette days of the 60s, yet it's still timeless enough to be featured these days.

With the sheer number of World of Warcraft machinimas produced daily, it's not hard for a talented up and comer to stay under the radar. Such was the case with Gnomechewer, who never received a recommendation from Warcraftmovies, yet captured the typically hostile audience of our sister site, WoW Insider. In the last 15 months, he's made 21 films, ranging from silly to quite stellar.

One of his semi-recent films, Super Duper Ultimate Extreme Edition, is an excellent example of model-viewing done right. The background music, by Notorious B.I.G., only adds to the ambiance of the environment. SDUEE has all of the action, adventure, and excitement that you need from a WoW machinima. Gnomechewer will be the machinimator to watch in 2008!

Whether you're a World of Warcraft player, or merely a machinima enthusiast, you'll enjoy Acolyte 1.5. The film is based on a quest in the Eastern Plaguelands, where a young girl, Pamela, is wandering the land looking for her family. Firebolt productions, previously known for their second place win in the Warcraftmovies Christmas Spirit Contest for Ugly Goblin's Christmas, did an amazing job adapting the quest into a stunning storyline. Even the cast and crew lineup is impressive!

Lagspikefilm must watch a lot of MTV. Not only did he parody MTV Cribs in this World of Warcraft machinima, but we're embarassed to admit that he got it down to the letter. Not that we watch MTV or anything. We're too busy playing and reviewing MMOs!

There are too many great parts in this video to mention them all, but some highlights from Thrall's Crib include epic mounts, embarassing hair, and the mature manner in which he faces problems. Next time we're ready to upgrade our pad in WoW, we'll be sure to consult this video for ideas. In the meantime, enjoy the tour and the perfect camera work!

Every now and then, we here at Massively want you to think of the little guy. For example, Hogger, the misunderstood gnoll. Despite being just a level 11 lowbie boss, he'll run with you wherever you want to go, which is exactly what Ganouille and friends did. They took him all the way to Undercity! While it may seem like an easy task, it was actually quite difficult due to random passersby killing him. Have you taken your (WoW) boss anywhere lately?

One of the best machinimas created in World of Warcraft was actually made almost three years ago, and still lives on in machinimators today. With over 20,000 videos uploaded to Warcraftmovies, Here Without You, by Dimoroc, was one of the first 1200. Many filmmakers have since tried to replicate the raw emotion evoked in this video, but few have succeeded.

Here Without You centers around the origin of a Forsaken, from how he came to be, to how he's haunted by his past. Using only music and interactions, instead of dialogue, Dimoroc was able to create a moving display of love. After posting this video, he disappeared, which is a real shame, because he helped pave the way for so many talented machinimators after him.

In today's Cinemassively, Stamp answers the age old question of what would happen if your World of Warcraft characters jumped out of your computer. By the end of this video, you won't care who stole the beer, or why the door was left open a crack when you swore that you shut it. You'll be too busy oohing and aahing at how adorable the WoW avatars looked in every scene.

Stamp used quite a lot of programs to achieve this effect, including WoW model viewer, Sony Vegas, Windows Movie Maker, Virtual Dub, and Particle Illusion. However, in this Machinima, they blend really well together. My only complaint is that those little jailbirds didn't invite me to the party!

Selserene is going to be the "IT" girl of 2008. She took fifth place with her first Machinima during the Warcraftmovies Christmas Spirit Contest, then she got right back to work on her epic film noir, In for a Penny. It is going to be released in two parts, with the first being the Prologue. The second part has no scheduled release date yet, despite the poster in the movie showing Spring 2008. If you enjoyed the video, you can download the high quality version.

The Prologue focuses on a lost girl that stumbles into a shady club. What she witnesses transports her into a black and white world where all is not what it seems. It looks like sex, lies, and murder are on the menu of IFAP. I can't wait!

When an orc suddenly finds himself unfrozen after years of being trapped in his icy dungeon, he has plenty of questions for his accidental rescuer, Patchie,an enterprising goblin. Starting at patch 1.05, Patchie attempts to catch the orc up to speed on everything that's happened, while simultaneously putting him to work. As their stories unfold, we find out how the orc came to be frozen, and about Patchie's ethics, which are questionable at best.

The AFK Pl@yers created The Patchie Chronicles in December to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of World of Warcraft launching in Taiwan. Despite Patchie's flaws, I was so taken by the character that I suggested they base a whole series around him! Is there a character in a Machinima that you'd like to see a series about?

After a lifetime of Christmas coal, Sazabi, the orc, and his pet, Kitty, are fed up. However, instead of trapping Santa, as they originally planned, they end up getting stuck with all of the deliveries. It seems as if Santa has decided to take the night off. With Kitty as his trusty steed, Sazabi sets off into the night, but encounters some unexpected problems. If he can survive, he'll be greatly rewarded, but will he pull it off?

Kudos go to FireShifT, who took 1st place in the Warcraftmovies Christmas Spirit Contest! A Big, Bad, Green Christmas had a higher percentage than most of the entries combined. Not bad for what he describes as his first serious attempt at World of Warcraft Machinima.

Yesterday, we highlighted the 3rd place winner in the Warcraftmovies Christmas Spirit Machinima Contest. Today brings us the 2nd place entry, Ugly Goblin's Christmas. It is a World of Warcraft spin on an old classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. While the story may not be original, with the help of an original soundtrack and strong editing, it is still quite moving.

Firebolt Productions tells the tale of a lonely goblin, Kryll, who is the subject of mockery among the town's children. To exact his revenge, he plants an evil gift under the town Christmas tree. However, at the last minute, he has a change of heart. Will he get there in time? How will he be treated?

Christmas has finally arrived, and Lafawnduh has an important message for all of you. Get along, work together, and don't be greedy, or the murlocs will take over. Well, that's not actually what he meant in this World of Warcraft Machinima, but it's close enough. Ultimate Snowdown recently won 3rd place in the Warcraftmovies Christmas Spirit Contest.

When a human and an elf are on the hunt for the perfect Christmas tree, they discover that they're after the same one. Rather than calmly resolve the dispute, they resort to a snowball fight that ... snowballs out of control. As their friends get involved, there is an epic power struggle. In the end, though, they both got what they deserved.

Remember the murlocs, and have a Cinemassively Christmas!

This Machinima was so nice that I had to share it twice. World of Warcraft fans will appreciate this tale of greed and pie, narrated by the deliciously sinister Associate Professor Evil. As three friends head to a party, they encounter many obstacles, including a violent reindeer, and an expansion requirement that they weren't quite prepared for ... It is during the commercial break that the video truly shines, as Oxhorn does his best late night TV impression. If only "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like This Raid Isn't Going to Happen" were a real song!

Yesterday, I noted that my future husband, Hat, wasn't featured anywhere in the film, but after watching a second time, I noticed that Oxhorn is holding him during the commercial break! If you like pecan pie, Savage Garden, or critiquing films without actually making them, then this is the Machinima for you. WarcraftMovies held a contest, The Fabled Few, last month. Among the winners was an outstanding piece by Dopefish, a World of Warcraft Machinimator. The film, "Among Fables and Men," weaves it's magic through the use of images and song. No text, voiceovers, or footage were involved, which makes it quite impressive!

Machiniplex, a collaborative effort between expert Machinimators Jason Choi, Ricky Grove, and Ingrid Moon, will be holding a screening of "Among Fables and Men" on Sunday, December 16th, at 1pm PST. These semi-regular meetups are small gatherings of Machinima enthusiasts and professionals alike. A question and answer session with the film's director will take place on Skype, followed by a showing of his film, which he will be remastering the audio for. If you are interested in attending, you can RSVP on the Facebook page for the event.

WoW! It's December already. Not only are you putting decorations out in real life, but you're also collecting holiday loot in your favorite MMOs. Apparently Gabriel Moran didn't get the memo about the exclusivity clause in the WarcraftMovies Christmas Spirit contest. His loss is your gain!

Gabriel invited his guildmates along for the ride in this Machinima homage to Bing Crosby's version of "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas." He mixed framed screenshots with scenes of gnomes singing and reindeer flying, among other things. The credits provide a special treat, as Cole and the chipmunks sing their way into our hearts. I can't wait to see more Christmas machinima!

Enterprising Machinimists have from today until December 20th, 2007 to deck the halls of World of Warcraft. WarcraftMovies is holding their annual Christmas Spirit Contest and they're feeling quite generous! They're giving out $600 USD in prizes, plus premium membership to their site. WCM will pick the top 5-10 entries for voting between December 21st and December 23rd, 2007, with the winner being announced on the 23rd.

Entries must be between 1 and 8 minutes long, including promo and credits. Multiple entries are allowed, but the content should mainly focus on WoW. Please note that the movie requires their promo clip at the beginning, and it must remain exclusively on WarcraftMovies until the winners have been announced. Uploading it anywhere else during that time will result in disqualification.

When an orc wakes up with a horrible hangover and no booze in sight, he heads for the video store. The clerk begins showing him a series of movies, some hits and some misses. This Machinima has it all - guns, anime girls, tentacles, music, and murlocs.

BaronSoosdon has done it again! With voice acting by Nyhm & Olibith, and creative use of World of Warcraft and Unreal Tournament 2004, it's no surprise that this movie won first prize in the comedy category of the Fabled Few contest. My personal favorite mini-clip was "Unlimited Escapism - Liberation." What was your favorite moment?
