Diablo III
"Evil is back," the screen proclaims -- and who are we to argue? Blizzard has released a brand-new 30-second spot for television to promote Diablo III's May 15th release, and it's a tight little package of demons, explosions, fire, and one properly terrified girl.

Blizzard's been ramping up the hype as its hack-and-slash RPG nears launch. It's released class spotlight videos on the classes of the game, including the Demon Hunter, the Barbarian, the Monk, and the Witch Doctor.

"We're not in Azeroth anymore," Trion Worlds' new TV commercial proclaims before a rift gobbles up the words. This 30-second spot for RIFT features a hero opening a rift with a jewel, a dragon roaring, an ogre on the warpath, and adventurers gearing up for the fight. The commercial ends with an invitation to pre-order the game.

This comes hot on the heels of RIFT's launch date announcement and signifies the next step up for Trion Worlds' marketing department. You can watch the new TV spot after the jump!

Putting aside all arguments of who Free Realms is made for, or what audience might enjoy it, here's something that can we can all agree on -- this new TV spot is definitely for a younger crowd. Seeing MMO ads on TV always reminds us how mainstream our little corner of the gaming scene has become, and for some reason, an ad aimed at kids is doubly so. There's really not a lot more we can say about this one; the video speaks for itself. Check it out after the jump below.

For a change of pace from all the in-depth Book 12 coverage lately, take a look at the new Lord of the Rings Online TV spot, entitled "Ordinary People". It shows a series of regular people getting ready for a busy day -- but from how they are preparing, it would appear that their busy day could be comprised of things like slaying dragons, saving villagers and traversing Middle-earth. We don't get to see any of this taking place in the real world, but there is some in-game footage in the second half that shows what it's all about.

The end of the video provides a link to a promotional website, www.movetomiddle-earth.com, which looks to give some background on the game and show a little more to those whose interest is piqued by the ad.
