Regardless, <em>Time Well Wasted</em>'s Justin Olivetti has posted about one of my favorite topics: <a href="http://wowtww.wordpress.com/2007/11/12/toons-best-friend/">collecting 'vanity pets'</a>, those (not always) little autonomous critters that follow you around and do little other than look cute. <br /><br />Actually, Justin's provided a well-thought-out list describing the things pets actually do, and he doesn't just talk about <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/world-of-warcraft"><em>World of Warcraft</em></a>, either. So it's stand up and be counted time, O Readers: What's your favorite pet, and what did you do to get it? In fact, I welcome screenshots ... if I get enough of them, I'll post a gallery. Imagine: your critter, famous! You may send your shots to akela.talamasca at weblogsinc.com.<br /><br />[Thanks, Justin!]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2007/11/13/vanity-thy-name-is-pet/">Vanity, thy name is Pet</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Tue, 13 Nov 2007 09:45:00 EST. He asks the question: how do we choose to spend our time, and what are your options once you've reached a level beyond which you can't progress? Do you create alts and re-climb the ladder? Do you learn to roleplay? Do you become a mentor?<br /><br />Although his post is geared toward <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/world-of-warcraft"><em>World of Warcraft</em></a>, it's applicable to most MMOs, and even to some social virtual worlds, with modifications. At what point do you decide that you're done with the game, and move on? Especially considering you'll face this issue again?<br /><br />(<em>Thanks, Justin!</em>)<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2007/11/07/tempus-just-keeps-fugiting-right-along-when-youre-in-wow/">Tempus just keeps fugiting right along when you're in WoW</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Wed, 07 Nov 2007 17:15:00 EST.
