Just in time for <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tags/city-of-heroes"><em>City of Heroes</em></a>' fifth birthday, <a href="http://samuraikoproductions.com/Home_Page.php">Samuraiko Productions</a> have released an epic video which looks back at some of the biggest in-game events over the last five years. It's bound to send long-time players into nostalgic reveries as well as inspiring those who, like me, haven't visited Paragon City yet.<br /><br />It's a fascinating video which is superbly edited and features a catchy soundtrack. You also get to see twenty of the biggest in-game happenings which seems to revolve around the demise of numerous villains and a couple of heroes. This is one of those cases when a video says more than a thousand words, so check it out after the jump.<p><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2009/04/29/samuraiko-releases-city-of-heroes-history-in-the-making-video/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Samuraiko releases City of Heroes: History in the Making video</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2009/04/29/samuraiko-releases-city-of-heroes-history-in-the-making-video/">Samuraiko releases City of Heroes: History in the Making video</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Wed, 29 Apr 2009 19:00:00 EST. The Mission Architect system will allow players to indulge their creativity, creating whole story arcs for other players to enjoy, <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/08/27/further-details-emerge-of-cox-issue-13-architect/">some of which may even be selected as 'Dev's Choice'</a>. <br /><br />Michelle Travis, better known by <a href="http://samuraikoproductions.com/Home_Page.php">her working handle Samuraiko</a>, is living proof that players can create material that is every bit as stunning as what's officially on offer. In her most recent video, Michelle takes us back to where it all began, the pivotal moment in <em><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/cox">CoX</a> </em>history when Marcus Cole and Stefan Richter discovered the Well of the Furies. The video's been around for about a month, but with the current buzz about fan-made content, we figured it was well worth pointing it out.<br /><br />We're sorry to say so, but this video is <em>unofficial.</em> Much though we'd like to, it can't be taken as evidence that there is an Incarnate epic origin or epic archetype coming up any time soon. But it's definitely worth watching, especially for new players who haven't yet learned the lore of how superpowers first came to be. Check it out after the break.<p><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/08/29/samuraiko-takes-cox-players-back-where-it-all-began/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Samuraiko takes CoX players back where it all began</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/08/29/samuraiko-takes-cox-players-back-where-it-all-began/">Samuraiko takes CoX players back where it all began</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Fri, 29 Aug 2008 09:00:00 EST. Unlike the first (completely speculative) piece, this one contains plenty of footage from the actual issue, including material from <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/05/20/this-post-has-absolutely-nothing-to-do-with-age-of-conan/">Cimerora</a>, the <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/05/07/cox-issue-12-inside-the-midnighter-club/">Midnighter Club</a> and the Imperious Task Force.<br /><br />Warning: there are some very brief potential spoilers in this video. Blink and you'll miss them, but don't say you weren' t warned!<br /><br />Samuraiko's highly regarded in the <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/cox"><em>CoX</em></a> community as <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2007/11/28/cox-issue-11-videos-samuraiko-productions/">one of the best fan video makers out there</a>, with standards comparable to those set by the official <em>CoX </em>videos. She's produced her own trailers and promotional films for <em>CoX</em> since Issue 11, including a <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/02/16/samuraikos-wedding-video-now-with-more-chaos/">documentary of Manticore and Sister Psyche's chaotic wedding</a>. In her latest offering she also does a little voice acting, giving the reaction that most of us give when we step on to Cimerora' s shores for the first time.<br /><br />'<span style="font-style: italic;">Midnight's Secrets</span>' is available in high quality format on the <a href="http://samuraikoproductions.com/Home_Page.php">Samuraiko Productions web site</a>. The YouTube version follows after the break.<p><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/05/22/samuraiko-reveals-cox-issue-12-video/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Samuraiko reveals CoX Issue 12 video</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/05/22/samuraiko-reveals-cox-issue-12-video/">Samuraiko reveals CoX Issue 12 video</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Thu, 22 May 2008 08:30:00 EST.
