It's a whole new <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0834303/quotes">spectrum of experience, like a rainbow</a>! Sorry, we felt the need to say that somewhere in this short article. But to celebrate the release of <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/issue-16">Issue 16: Power Spectrum</a> to <a href="http://www.cityofheroes.com"><em>City of Heroes</em></a>, all accounts are being reactivated and all heroes and villains will be netting themselves double experience this weekend. Plus, if you were a little short on spending money, influence/infamy is doubled this weekend as well.<br /><br />So, if you were a <em><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/city-of-heroes">City of Heroes</a>/<a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/city-of-villains">Villains</a></em> subscriber in the past, this weekend is your chance to re-download the game and check out the cool new additions like <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2009/09/06/city-of-heroes-announces-guest-author-program-for-mission-archit/">Architect</a> and Power Spectrum. Taking place between September 4th-6th in Seattle, PAX is fast becoming the new must-attend convention for all sections of the industry, from developers to publishers and gamers. <a href="http://massively.com/tag/ncsoft">NCsoft</a> has just announced their plans for this year's convention and this focuses on their three big IPs: <a href="http://aiononline.com"><em>Aion</em></a>, <a href="http://www.guildwars2.com/en/"><em>Guild Wars 2</em></a> and <a href="http://cityofheroes.com"><em>City of Heroes</em></a>.<br /><br />NCsoft will once again have booths at the event, one per game. On the <a href="http://massively.com/category/aion"><em>Aion</em></a> front, they will be showing the latest build of the game, which includes <a href="http://massively.com/tag/aion-patch-1.5">patch 1.5</a> (aka <em><a href="http://massively.com/tag/the-shadow-of-the-balaur">The Shadow of the Balaur</a></em>). Producer <a href="http://twitter.com/aion_xaen">Brian Knox</a> and Associate Producer <a href="http://twitter.com/aion_liv">Lani Blazier</a> will also be on hand at booth #642. At the <a href="http://massively.com/category/guild-wars-2"><em>Guild Wars 2</em></a> booth (#842), there will be Q and As with the Live Team, a talk on the upcoming novel <em>The Fall of Ascalon</em> and the chance to win a 128 page <em>Art of Guild Wars 2</em> artbook. When you think about it, comic conventions are as big for superhero games as other <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/e3-2009">events like E3</a> and <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/pax">PAX</a>. Just when you thought the <a href="http://www.cityofheroes.com"><em>City of Heroes</em></a> character creation process wasn't involved enough, we get word that the power customization in the upcoming Issue 16 will definitely include the ability to change the color of your powers at creation. We had previously  <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2009/06/23/power-customization-teased-at-for-city-of-heroes/">heard that this may be the case</a>, but <a href="http://www.cityofheroes.com/news/game_updates/issue_16/issue_16_overview.html">a new Issue 16 overview</a> on the <em>CoH</em> website confirms it.<br /><br />This recent news also includes much more information on enhanced difficulty settings and the proliferation of powersets among all Archetypes, allowing more types of players to possess more powersets.
