EverQuest II may be six years old (which is nearly 50 in both dog and MMO years), but SOE's storied franchise sequel is showing no signs of slowing down. Today marks the release of a new trailer for the Destiny of Velious expansion, and the footage on display throughout the two-minute clip shows off a Norrath that's never looked better.

When the expansion debuts on February 22nd, players will be able travel to the famous frozen continent to adventure in locales including the Tower of Frozen Shadow and the Hold of Rime. They'll also be able do battle with the forces of the legendary Rallos Zek.

And thus, with a proud tear in the corner of our eye, we salute the liftoff of the first stage of EVE Online's latest expansion, Incursion. Although the expansion has been fractured into three parts to ensure quality -- with the second coming in mid-December and the third in January -- Incursion 1.0.0 is worth checking out for a brand-new salvage ship, the Noctis, and many game improvements and fixes.

This patch is also notable for the increased amount of graphics options, including windowed mode, the ability to split the game between two monitors, and the introduction of anti-aliasing.

This morning the World of Warcraft is eeriely silent as the latest mini-expansion The Secrets of Ulduar (aka Patch 3.1) goes live across US and Oceanic servers (with Europe to follow tomorrow). In a few short hours the servers will reopen, along with the doors to Ulduar, the newest dungeon, but if you're not au fait with the ways of Azeroth all this information is likely to leave you a little purplexed but fret not as we've put together a little guide to what you need to know about the latest patch.

Ok. Ulduar looks amazing. We really, really, really want to go raiding in the Halls of the Titans and learn more about the ancient city that resides in the Storm Peaks. But, sadly, we're relegated to waiting until patch 3.1 launches onto World of Warcraft's servers.

Or are we?

Our sister site, WoW Insider, got a hold of the test schedule of Ulduar raid bosses. Tonight is the first, Hodir, and he's already started (since 7 PM)! If you can't get on tonight (as some of our correspondents at WoW Insider are locked out) then no worries, as the Iron Council will be the boss for tomorrow night at 7. The full schedule is as follows:

On the North American test realms
Hodir - Thursday night, February 26, starting at 7pm EST/4pm PST.
Iron Council - Friday night, February 27, starting at 7pm EST/4pm PST

On the European test realms
Thorim - Friday night, February 27, starting at 7pm CET.
Freya - Friday night, February 28, starting at 7pm CET.

World of Warcraft's Patch 3.1 is now officially on the PTR, and it brings with it many new features to the game. Over at our sister site, WoW Insider, they're working diligently to bring the readers every tidbit of information they can pull from this patch, both official and unofficial.

According to the patch notes, some of the larger changes include the fact that mounts will no longer dismount in water, the addition of the Ulduar raid instance, BG queuing anywhere in the world and of course, the highly-anticipated dual specs. There are also new pets and mounts, new profession recipes and more! Check out WoW Insider for more Patch 3.1 guides than you can imagine, and more on the progress of the patch as it nears the live servers.

Blizzard is hard at work with designing all of the changes coming in World of Warcraft's patch 3.1, and WoW Insider is hard at work on documenting and analyzing those changes for you. Patch 3.1 will be introducing the long awaited dual spec system, which will allow players to switch back and forth between two talent builds, many class mechanic changes for all of the roles, mounts that are usable in water, and many more smaller changes.

To quench your thirst for information, WoW Insider has set up a main repository post on everything 3.1 related. From that post you can find out if Blizzard is slapping the nerf paladin, buff warrior buttons again, or if perhaps the shoe has now been placed on the other foot.

As for this blogger, I'm off to go celebrate being able to exorcise everything in existence -- a la lightning bolts.
