Hey Legend of Edda fans, are you ready for new maps, new dungeons, new skills, and upgraded third job classes? Hopefully you are, because GamesCampus is giving you all that and more on April 27th. Legend of Edda's Chapter 2: Return of the God update is right around the corner, and GamesCampus is upping the ante in terms of features and content.

Upon reaching level 40, players will be able to select a third job class from a list that includes Templars, Champions, Shadow Runners, Scouts, Bishops, and Necromancers. Speaking of levels, we've learned that the cap is being raised from 40 to 54, and new skills are available as a result. In fact, a new guild skill system allows for experience and drop-rate boosts for all members.

Legend of Edda's world is expanding as well, with four new open-world maps and three new dungeon instances arriving on patch day. Finally, GamesCampus is tweaking several under-the-hood features including the addition of camera rotation functionality, custom keymapping, a mail system, and various itemization adjustments. You can learn more about Legend of Edda at its official website.
GamesCampus announces Legend of Edda Chapter 2: Return of the God originally appeared on Massively on Thu, 14 Apr 2011 12:30:00 EST.
Just when we thought Gracia, the 2nd throne, was done and over with in Gracia Final, we get a tasty surprise in the form of Gracia Epilogue, the next patch coming out for Lineage II.

Gracia Epilogue is hiding many a tasty treat for Lineage II fans, with teasers pointing towards a new mail system, enhanced skill updates, and new hunting areas for high level players. However, these teasers are exactly that -- teasers. The official patch notes have not been released yet, leaving many to speculate what exactly will be in this patch.

However, if you're looking to get some hands on the Epilogue, you can cruise on over to NCsoft's test server for L2 today and try it out! Recently, Turbine collected a batch of questions from the community for the Lord of the Rings Online developers to answer. Due to the amount of quality questions taken in, the devs decided to respond to more of them than they initially anticipated, and the answers will be given out over a number of weeks. We're now able to view the first installment, and we'll sum up a handful of the quicker questions and answers right here:

On whether there are plans to open up the UI to customization and plug-ins: no, but there are more built-in customization options coming with the Siege of Mirkwood expansion.

On the possibility of a shared bank slot for trading between one's own characters: yes! More details coming soon. (note: Turbine announced today that it is part of the LotRO Adventure Pack that can be purchased for $20 and will arrive at the same time as the Siege of Mirkwood expansion.)

On future mail system enhancements, like multiple attachments: no to multiple attachments, but there will soon be an auto-complete for the "to:" field, for characters you have mailed in the past.

On whether there are plans for a new PvMP zone: nope, no plans for it.

These are but a few of the questions that the devs answered. Among the remaining ones, there is a particularly detailed entry regarding radiance gear and some upcoming changes. Perhaps the most interesting thing revealed is WAR's new Zone Domination system which is currently in the works. It's intended to supplement Warhammer Online's realm-vs.-realm system by providing more compelling ways to capture zones. Hickman says, "If you can capture everything in a zone and hold it, claiming the Keeps and dominate that zone, then you have a very good chance of capturing the zone." Or, as Barnett summarizes, Zone Domination will give players more reasons for defending and holding objectives.

Colin Shannon also provides an update on the reduction of crashes in WAR, and there's (perhaps) a ray of hope mentioned at the end for having multiple items in the mail system. Check out the video embed below the cut for more on the state of the game, and what new features WAR players should be getting in a forthcoming patch.
Continue reading WAR's new Zone Domination system in development

WAR's new Zone Domination system in development originally appeared on Massively on Sun, 18 Jan 2009 18:00:00 EST.
