Now, <a href="http://www.eveonline.com/news.asp?a=single&amp;nid=3137&amp;tid=7">KenZoku has reportedly left</a> the contested, lawless frontier of 0.0 space after months of resisting the combined forces of rival alliances. <br /><br />One of <em>EVE</em>'s in-game journalists, <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/06/10/eve-onlines-war-journalists-report-from-the-front-lines/">Interstellar Correspondent</a> ISD Clarity Brown, reports from the site of KenZoku's last holdout: <em>"GoonSwarm and their allies deployed a camp on KenZoku's sole remaining outpost last night. A joint force of pilots from <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/pandemic-legion">Pandemic Legion</a>, <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/goonswarm">GoonSwarm</a>, Morsus Mihi, Razor Alliance and KIA deployed 27 titans around the station in a show of force and gave a demonstration of the sheer power embodied in such a gang." </em><br /><br />Titans are the game's most expensive <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/09/21/titan-proliferation-in-eve-online/">weapons of mass destruction</a>, massive ships capable of unleashing 'Doomsday' area-of-effect attacks that melt fleets caught in the blast. To unleash 27 Doomsday blasts at once is... quite a sight, <a href="http://www.eve-ic.net/media/articles/3137/titandd.wmv">as the video footage demonstrates</a>.<p><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2009/06/18/has-eves-most-powerful-alliance-fallen/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Has EVE's most powerful alliance fallen?</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2009/06/18/has-eves-most-powerful-alliance-fallen/">Has EVE's most powerful alliance fallen?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Thu, 18 Jun 2009 13:00:00 EST. For those less familiar with <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/eve-online"><em>EVE</em></a>, titans have been a sensitive issue for many players in the game, as they're New Eden's closest equivalent to the Death Star in Star Wars. That is to say, they can unleash a doomsday area-of-effect weapon blast that typically annihilates whatever it washes over. Only in <em>EVE</em>, there isn't just the one titan. There is <a href="http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&amp;threadID=784827">a growing multitude of them</a>. Given <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/09/21/titan-proliferation-in-eve-online/">the titan proliferation in <em>EVE</em></a>, when a titan dies, players on the other side of the conflict rejoice. <br /><br />A titan is the ultimate weapon in alliance warfare. Typically only an array of opposing capital ships -- the biggest and baddest -- have the firepower to bring a titan down. But on Friday, November 21st, a concerted effort from the following alliances destroyed a titan with a sub-capital ship fleet: Triumvirate, G00DFELLAS, Atlas Alliance, Axiom Empire, ParadoXon Alliance, Bionic Dawn, HUN Reloaded, Skunk-Works, Eradication Alliance and <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/band-of-brothers ">Band of Brothers</a>. (If you think that's quite a number of involved parties, you should see <a href="http://www.eve-razor.com/killboard/?a=kill_detail&amp;kll_id=107083">how many pilots made it onto the killboard</a>.)<br /><br /><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/isd ">ISD Clarity Brown</a>, one of <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/05/20/new-edens-virtual-reporters/"><em>EVE's</em> in-game reporters</a>, states, <em>"This kill was -- as far as we know at present -- unique, in that the killing force contained not one capital ship."</em> The downed <a href="http://www.eve-online.com/itemdatabase/EN/ships/titans/gallente/671.asp">Erebus-class titan</a> was flown by Shizah, from Cutting Edge Incorporated, which is part of RAZOR Alliance.<p><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/11/22/first-titan-class-ship-in-eve-to-be-destroyed-by-non-capital-fle/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>First titan class ship in EVE to be destroyed by non-capital fleet</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/11/22/first-titan-class-ship-in-eve-to-be-destroyed-by-non-capital-fle/">First titan class ship in EVE to be destroyed by non-capital fleet</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Sat, 22 Nov 2008 11:00:00 EST.
