Given how zealous science fiction fans can be about continuations, offshoots, or reboots of their favorite properties, we've been curious about how well <a href="http://www.startrekonline.com/"><em>Star Trek Online</em></a> will match up with player expectations, especially given the <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2009/03/04/examining-the-potential-of-star-trek-online/">disappointment some Trekkie gamers have had</a> with older Star Trek titles of the non-MMO variety. <br /><br />That said, we're always looking to find out more about what <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/star-trek-online"><em>Star Trek Online</em></a> will offer MMO gamers, whether they're Trekkies or not. <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/cryptic-studios">Cryptic Studios</a> has been releasing <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2009/04/19/star-trek-online-lore-interview-style-at-quarks-bar/">bits of the game's lore</a> which we hope will give us an accurate picture of where the game sits in the Star Trek timeline.
