There's other things as well -- the <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/05/20/new-edens-virtual-reporters/">volunteer program that CCP runs, ISD</a>. They've got <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/06/10/eve-onlines-war-journalists-report-from-the-front-lines/">people on the field</a> watching the matches and doing coverage live to post on the forums for people who missed the matches. If you want to actually be part of helping produce the alliance tournament, that's an option that's available to you. <br /><br />Also <a href="http://everadio.gamingradio.net/">EVE Radio</a> and the <span style="font-style: italic;">EVE</span>-related radio stations do quite a bit. <a href="http://www.eve-news.net/">EVE Network News</a> were liveblogging the entire tournament. If you can't listen to the live audio stream you can still read up on it and contribute to the conversation as it's happening. There's also <a href="http://eve.coldfront.net/">IRC on the Coldfront server</a> which is the semi-official <em>EVE</em> IRC server where all the people hang out. I'm in there a lot of the time, some of the other experts are in there sometimes. You can get a lot of conversation both during, between, and after matches about what's going on. There are a lot of different ways you can get involved, even if you're not flying. <br /><br />Obviously there's no live video feed until the last weekend. But there is live audio, and the <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/ccpgames">videos tend to go up on YouTube pretty quick</a>. I was very impressed with the turnaround.<p><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2009/01/31/massively-speaks-with-crovan-about-eve-alliance-pvp-tournament-v/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Massively speaks with Crovan about EVE Alliance PvP Tournament VI Part 2</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2009/01/31/massively-speaks-with-crovan-about-eve-alliance-pvp-tournament-v/">Massively speaks with Crovan about EVE Alliance PvP Tournament VI Part 2</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Sat, 31 Jan 2009 16:45:00 EST. So much so that 2008 saw a <a href="http://www.crazykinux.com/2008/04/eve-online-blogroll-lovefest.html ">record number of player blogs</a> focused on the game. But beyond the blogging community, there are three standout websites that feature the writing of <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/eve-online"><em>EVE</em></a>'s players, and pay their writers for those contributions with <em>EVE</em>'s virtual currency, Inter Stellar Kredits (ISK):<br /><br />
<ul>
    <li><a href="http://www.eve-tribune.com">EVE Tribune</a> offers no-holds barred commentary on the game and the player culture surrounding it, with notable coverage of <em>EVE</em>'s politics and alliance struggles. EVE Tribune is also the home of Silicon Buddha's <a href="http://www.flyreckless.com/blog/ ">Fly Reckless podcast</a>.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
    <li><a href="http://www.eve-mag.com">EVE-Mag</a> is a relative newcomer to covering <em>EVE Online</em> but in that time has distinguished itself as a diverse site that covers the entire scope of the game experience, and <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/11/30/confessions-of-an-eve-online-macroer/ ">doesn't flinch away from controversy</a>. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
    <li><a href="http://www.enn-blog.com ">EVE Network News</a> is another notable site covering the game, with well-rounded coverage of the various facets of <em>EVE</em>. ENN is also the home of the <a href="http://www.titanweekly.com/ ">Titan Weekly podcast</a>.</li>
</ul>
While each site has their own approach to covering the game and largely appeals to the same slice of MMO gamers, the <a href="http://www.eve-tribune.com/index.php?no=3_50&amp;page=4 ">dynamic between the three has been decidedly friendly</a>. EVE Tribune is really the pioneer in coverage of the game beyond the official <em>EVE Online</em> site, but EVE-Mag and ENN threw their hats into the ring in 2008 and have drawn in a significant number of readers in the short time they've been running. But if these sites are to continue through 2009, they'll need a little help from their readers -- <em>EVE</em>'s players.<p><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2009/01/04/eve-onlines-player-run-sites-need-your-help/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>EVE Online's player-run sites need your help</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2009/01/04/eve-onlines-player-run-sites-need-your-help/">EVE Online's player-run sites need your help</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Sun, 04 Jan 2009 16:00:00 EST.
