	<a href="http://www.massively.com/category/everquest"><em>EverQuest</em></a> is beginning to gear up for its 18th expansion, <a href="http://www.massively.com/tag/veil-of-alaris"><em>Veil of Alaris</em></a>. Along with raising the level cap to 95, introducing new AA options, and a providing a smorgasbord of other new features, the expansion includes a whopping 12 new zones.<br />
	<br />
	One such zone is known as Sarith, the City of Tides. We have an exclusive look at this fabled location in the form of a short dev diary video, courtesy of the fine folks at <a href="http://www.massively.com/tag/sony-online-entertainment">Sony Online Entertainment</a>. The devs talk about the city's unique architecture and the process involved in bringing the city to life. For the full video preview of Sarith, jump on past the cut and take a look.</div><p><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/09/15/massively-exclusive-everquests-city-of-tides-unveiled/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Massively Exclusive: EverQuest's City of Tides unveiled</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/09/15/massively-exclusive-everquests-city-of-tides-unveiled/">Massively Exclusive: EverQuest's City of Tides unveiled</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Thu, 15 Sep 2011 09:00:00 EST. <div>
	All right now, all you occultists, paranormal investigators, and conspiracy theorists, it's your turn to squeal with delight. <a href="http://www.funcom.com">Funcom</a> has treated the world to a spankin'-new dev walkthrough of <a href="http://www.thesecretworld.com"><em>The Secret World</em></a>'s <a href="http://www.massively.com/tag/savage-coast">Savage Coast</a> instance. You may remember <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/07/01/funcom-shows-off-new-secret-world-location-video/">we got our first look</a> at the Savage Coast at the beginning of the month. Now, we get to go in for a first-hand look at just what makes this coast so savage.<br />
	<br />
	The walkthrough -- which is so expansive it has to be presented in three parts -- begins with our dev tour-guides <a href="http://www.massively.com/tag/martin-bruusgaard">Martin Bruusgaard</a> (Lead Designer) and <a href="http://www.massively.com/tag/joel-bylos">Joel Bylos</a> (Lead Content Designer) jumping into the dungeon linked to the <a href="http://www.massively.com/tag/solomon-island">Solomon Island</a> zone, which they note is the first that players will encounter as they play through <a href="http://www.massively.com/category/the-secret-world"><em>The Secret World</em></a>. After a short preview of the quest-receiving experience (which includes voice acting that's rather good, especially for a game still in development), it descends into a rollercoaster ride into the mouth of madness.<br />
	<br />
	The developers take on the Draugh (undead Norse warriors out for vengeance) and their masters throughout the course of the dungeon, which culminates in a scene straight out of Lovecraft's best. We'd hate to spoil the whole thing for you (and it's so long we really don't have the space!), but believe us, it's well worth the watch for any <em>TSW</em> fan. So head on past the cut for the full walkthrough videos!</div><p><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/07/08/new-secret-world-dev-walkthrough-delves-into-the-savage-coast/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>New Secret World dev walkthrough delves into the Savage Coast</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/07/08/new-secret-world-dev-walkthrough-delves-into-the-savage-coast/">New Secret World dev walkthrough delves into the Savage Coast</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Fri, 08 Jul 2011 16:30:00 EST. Ia! Ia! Akylios f'htagn! You may have (read: should have, and if you haven't go do so now) seen our <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/06/09/e3-2011-hands-on-with-rifts-1-3-update/">hands-on impressions article</a> covering the new raid coming with <a href="http://www.riftgame.com"><em>RIFT</em></a>'s <a href="http://www.massively.com/tag/patch-1.3">patch 1.3</a>, <a href="http://www.massively.com/tag/waves-of-madness">Waves of Madness</a>. The instance takes place inside of the abandoned Dwarven city of Hammerknell, where Akylios -- the Dragon of the plane of water and the object of worship of the <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/05/18/massively-exclusive-rifts-abyssal-cult-lore/">Abyssal Cult</a> -- has long been imprisoned. The cult has now breached the ancient stronghold and is in the process of awakening its aquatic master.<br />
	<br />
	In a new walkthrough video from <a href="http://www.trionworlds.com">Trion Worlds</a>, VP of Development <a href="http://www.massively.com/tag/russ-brown">Russ Brown</a> gives <a href="http://www.massively.com/category/rift"><em>RIFT</em></a> players a sneak-peek at the world event that will accompany the opening of Hammerknell's long-sealed doors. Once the doors have been opened, we're treated to a tour of the halls of the city itself, where the ghosts of fallen Dwarves and Abyssal cultists alike stand to prevent Telara's heroes from interrupting Akylios' awakening. The video shows off four of the raid's bosses, including Akylios himself, so those of you wanting to avoid spoilers can consider yourselves warned. Russ also takes some time to stop and admire the hauntingly lovely architecture and lighting of the deserted city, which is truly stunning. Any <em>RIFT </em>players who don't mind a few minor spoilers and who want to get a look at the upcoming content can click on past the cut for the full video.</div><p><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/06/11/trion-worlds-takes-players-on-a-tour-of-rifts-upcoming-hammerkn/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Trion Worlds takes players on a tour of RIFT's upcoming Hammerknell raid</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/06/11/trion-worlds-takes-players-on-a-tour-of-rifts-upcoming-hammerkn/">Trion Worlds takes players on a tour of RIFT's upcoming Hammerknell raid</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Sat, 11 Jun 2011 14:00:00 EST. It's been a long time coming, but we've finally got a good look at early alpha footage of <a href="http://universe.lego.com"><em>LEGO Universe</em></a> thanks to CES10. <a href="http://www.gametrailers.com">Gametrailers</a> has a four part video of a developer walkthrough given by <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/NetDevil">NetDevil's</a> Scott Brown, and boy is it ever full of multicolored brick-y goodness.<br />
<br />
<span style="float: left; margin-right: 10px; margin-top: 7px;"><script> digg_url = 'http://digg.com/playable_web_games/Great_New_LEGO_Universe_Developer_Walkthrough_footage_Vids'; </script> <script src=" http://digg.com/api/diggthis.js"></script></span>We're impressed by how much this game looks similar to its console brethren, especially where action and platforming elements are concerned. Of course, it wouldn't be an MMO without social elements, some of which we get to see here. More importantly, we get a look at how the developers are handling building with LEGOs in-game. The game simulates a kind of personal bubble around the player's avatar, which is strikingly similar to the metaphorical one all kids experience when sitting on the floor with a big pile of the toys. Hm, we're pretty sure NetDevil is on the right course with this one.<br />
<br />
Check out the video walkthrough after the break.<p><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2010/01/12/lego-universe-gameplay-footage-full-of-imagination/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>LEGO Universe gameplay footage full of 'imagination'</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2010/01/12/lego-universe-gameplay-footage-full-of-imagination/">LEGO Universe gameplay footage full of 'imagination'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Tue, 12 Jan 2010 19:00:00 EST. <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/ccp-games">CCP Games</a> and <a href="http://www.xfire.com">Xfire</a> have teamed up for a live video broadcast this week, a guided developer walkthrough of the <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/dominion"><em>Dominion</em></a> expansion for <a href="http://www.eveonline.com"><em>EVE Online</em></a>. You can tune in on December 17th at 12:00pm PDT to view the video stream on Xfire's site. <br />
<br />
The video broadcast coincides with a contest Xfire is running, <a href="http://www.xfire.com/cms/xf_eve_dominion/">details of which can also be found on the Xfire site</a>. The prizes look good -- up to a year of <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/eve-online"><em>EVE</em></a> game time, an iPod Nano, and a Razer Naga mouse. Entering Xfire's "EVE 'til EVE" contest, which runs December 15-31, entails <a href="http://www.xfire.com/communities/officialeve1/apply/">signing up to join their game community</a>.<br />
<br />
