Imprudence is one of our favorite after-market <em><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/second-life"><em>Second Life</em></a> </em>viewers, and after some months in beta (and a couple of false starts), the latest release version of this viewer is available.</p>
<p>There are some user-interface changes this time around, the ability to backup and restore your own intellectual property, an improved radar/minimap, improved third-party simulator support, RLVa support, optional vertical IM tabs, double-click go-to and teleports, more world map data and a host of other tweaks and features.</p><p><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2009/11/27/imprudence-1-2-viewer-for-second-life/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Imprudence 1.2 viewer for Second Life</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2009/11/27/imprudence-1-2-viewer-for-second-life/">Imprudence 1.2 viewer for Second Life</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Fri, 27 Nov 2009 20:00:00 EST. Yesterday, the judges, including <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/codebastard-redgrave/">Codebastard Redgrave</a> and <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/tao-takashi/">Tao Takashi</a>, gathered to announce the winners of the contest. They picked two winners by jury, and the other was selected by the community.<br /><br />The Community Award went to a video, <a href="http://www.koinup.com/alienhearts/work/24198/">The Little Newbie</a>, by <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/akanjeeheart">Alienhearts</a>. We previously featured the work of this talented machinimator back in November, with the first, and only, episode of <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2007/12/21/cinemassively-noob-episode-01/">NooB</a>. The video highlights a moment we've all had in <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/second-life/"><span style="font-style: italic;">SL</span></a> where we create something we think is beautiful, but turns out to be not so great. Set to a fast-paced electronic mix, it blends newbie gestures with cheesy group dance scenes typically seen in real-life music videos.<br /><br />[Via the <a href="http://blog.koinup.com/2008/05/music-videos-contest.html">Koinup Blog</a>]<br /><br />If you have machinima or movie suggestions from any MMO, please send them to machinima AT massively DOT com, along with any information you might have about them.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/05/07/cinemassively-the-little-newbie/">Cinemassively: The Little Newbie</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Wed, 07 May 2008 12:30:00 EST. <p>These bloggers feel snubbed and threatened by the new brand guidelines, which they find contradictory, excessive and potentially restrictive to free speech, and are going on <a href="http://gwynethllewelyn.net/2008/03/26/second-life-bloggers-require-clarification/">a symbolic three-day strike as a gesture to show that they do not find Linden Lab's answers to these concerns sufficient</a>.</p><p><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/04/15/linden-lab-sparks-bloggers-strike/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Linden Lab sparks bloggers strike</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/04/15/linden-lab-sparks-bloggers-strike/">Linden Lab sparks bloggers strike</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Tue, 15 Apr 2008 12:15:00 EST. Now that the wands have been off the market for over a year, <a href="http://cuddlefishjunction.wordpress.com/">Jacek Antonelli</a> has made considerable improvements on bubbles. Not only are these bad boys pilotable, but they also have a built-in group chat system!<br /><br />Our very own <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/bloggers/tateru-nino/">Tateru Nino</a> suggested this <em><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/second-life/">Second Life</a></em> <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/machinima/">machinima</a> by the unstoppable <a href="http://codebastardredgrave.com/">Codebastard Redgrave</a>. And all this, despite the fact that the Second Life Insider has had no new content since Massively began!<br /><br />Honestly, I'm both pleased and puzzled by this. Sure, there's a metric f#$*-tonne of content in the archives, but the fact that Massively is nowhere on that 88-item-strong list probably means something. For all intents and purposes, Massively is the New Second Life Insider. We've just changed facades; the content is the same. So where's the Massively love? I'm going to just assume that because we cover MMOs of all stripes, we don't qualify as an SL-only blog. Sigh.<br /><br />In related news, both <a href="http://dwellonit.blogspot.com/">Our Tateru</a> and <a href="http://eloisepasteur.net/blog/">Our Eloise</a>'s personal blogs are on that list as well, so go check 'em out!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2007/12/08/second-life-insider-still-ranks-even-though-its-technically-de/">Second Life Insider still ranks, even though it's technically dead</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Sat, 08 Dec 2007 09:00:00 EST.
