Between the release of <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/ffxiv-patch-1.19/">patch 1.19</a> and the announcements regarding the game's future, <em><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/Final-Fantasy-XIV/">Final Fantasy XIV</a></em> has been drumming up quite a bit of excitement from its fans. And what better way to capitalize on that excitement than to have another installment of the producer's letter live for everyone to enjoy? On November 3rd, <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/Naoki-Yoshida/">Naoki Yoshida</a> will once again be <a href="http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com/pl/topics/detail?id=31ff90e5eb6b720f4aa40b56ce1327aea93cc041">taking to the broadcast waves</a> to answer player questions about the most recent patch and future updates.<br />
<br />
The official announcement notes that the particulars of the broadcast are not yet determined, but as with the previous live event, players can submit questions in advance or via Twitter on the day itself. While Yoshida will strive to answer as many questions as possible, there will be time constraints, and of course the audio will be in Japanese with a translation to come further down the road. Still, it's a chance to get more questions about the game answered by the man with the plan himself, and that's something many players will no doubt be excited by.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/10/25/final-fantasy-xiv-bringing-you-another-producers-letter-all-the/">Final Fantasy XIV bringing you another producer's letter all the way live</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Tue, 25 Oct 2011 19:00:00 EST. Ever since we heard about <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/salem"><em>Salem</em></a>, the crazy mash-up of sandbox tools, crafting, colonial setting, and permadeath, we've been understandably curious about just how the game will pan out. While it's still in the pre-alpha stage, <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/paradox-interactive">Paradox Interactive</a> hosted <a href="http://www.twitch.tv/paradoxinteractive/b/296121854">a Twitch.tv broadcast</a> yesterday, during which a trio of devs showed off the game while talking about its features.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/09/22/salem-livestream-set-for-september-27th/">If you missed it</a>, you're still in luck: The broadcast was recorded and saved for posterity. In it, Creative Director <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/Bjorn-Johannessen/">Bjorn Johannessen</a>, "Code Gnome" Frank Tolf, and Senior Producer <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/gordon-van-dyke/">Gordon Van Dyke</a> want to give viewers a feel for how the game functions and feels.<br />
<br />
It's important to note that the demonstration doesn't begin for real until the 14-minute mark, so unless you really like elevator music and waiting, you might want to skip ahead to there. You can watch the full video after the jump.<p><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/09/28/get-an-eyeful-of-salem-with-an-hour-long-tour/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Get an eyeful of Salem with an hour-long tour</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/09/28/get-an-eyeful-of-salem-with-an-hour-long-tour/">Get an eyeful of Salem with an hour-long tour</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Wed, 28 Sep 2011 10:00:00 EST. <div align="left">This Wednesday at noon (EDT), <a href="http://www.xfire.com">Xfire</a> will run a live broadcast of a raid in <a href="http://www.worldofwarcraft.com"><em>World of Warcraft</em></a>'s top instance -- <a href="http://www.wowinsider.com/tag/sunwell-plateau">the Sunwell Plateau.</a> The raid will be performed by famous uberguild <a href="http://www.wowwiki.com/Nihilum">Nihilum</a>, and the broadcast will run on the <a href="http://www.dyyno.com/">Dyyno technology.</a><br /><br />This is the second raid broadcast by Xfire, but this time around advances in technology enable a higher number of viewers and better quality. Up to 4,000 people may tune in. Four different points of view will be provided -- those of a <a href="http://www.wowinsider.com/category/warrior">Warrior</a>, a <a href="http://www.wowinsider.com/category/hunter">Hunter</a>, a <a href="http://www.wowinsider.com/category/druid">Druid</a>, and a <a href="http://www.wowinsider.com/category/warlock">Warlock.</a> The raid is expected to last between three and four hours. To watch, you'll have to <a href="http://www.xfire.com/cms/xf_enter_plateau_redux/">head over to Xfire's website</a> and install both the Xfire client and the Dyyno plugin.<br /><br />What do you think, readers? Pro-level raiding as a spectator sport? Is that something you're actually intrigued by, or does it sound like a terrible waste of time? We're skeptical, but maybe we're just not as l33t as j00.</div>
