When it comes to markets in fantasy games, what's the first thing that comes to your mind? Probably places to buy things like food, weapons, armor, or modes of transportation. When it's the marketplace in a capital city like Altdorf in Warhammer Online, one might reasonably even think you could a decent concentration of other players hanging out. However, the forces of Order apparently think it's a great place to make an example of people who have crossed them in some fashion -- as you can see from this interesting Warhammer Online screenshot sent in to us by Yavvy. We wonder what they did to merit this punishment. Moreover, why are they all dressed in the same relatively nice clothes? Did the servants try to make off with the Emperor's silverware?

When it comes to the Bright Wizards in Warhammer Online, they must travel to the storied city of Altdorf if they intend to learn the crafting of fire. As you can imagine, this is a crazy place to go to school, as one never knows when the entire school might erupt into flames due to a student letting their spell get the better of them. Thankfully, we don't have to brave the danger since our occasional One Shots contributor, Yavvy, decided to send this great image of Warhammer Online's towering Bright Wizard's College along to us. All the fun, none of the singed eyebrows!

As the winter is finally here in the northern hemisphere, many folks are staying in and enjoying some game time. With the change to the first 10 levels ensuring Warhammer Online players can pretty well play the first tier forever, some are giving it another go. Today we have a visual Warhammer Online treat for you from our occasional One Shots contributor, Yavvy. He didn't send any note in to tell us more about this area, but we understand this is a T3 area inside an enchanted forest. It certainly is lovely to look at!

Those in the past - or in strange fantasy lands - used this time of year to finish harvesting and laying in stores for the winter to come. For those of us who game in fantasy worlds, it's a great time to look back and reflect on the things that we may have achieved earlier this year instead! One such example is this incredibly picturesque image that comes to us from Yavvy, who captured this during a live event in Warhammer Online earlier this year. (Admittedly, a land more about conquering than harvesting, but still.) Yavvy writes in: Catching a ride with the great eagles in Hunter's Vale, the dungeon for the Wild Hunt live event.

When traveling alone in the woods, it's generally a good idea to remain on your guard. This is especially true in Warhammer Online, where the forces of Order and Destruction are locked in a never-ending battle for supremacy. Thankfully, this cautious lady happens to have an enormous feline companion at her side, just ready to chow down on anyone or anything interested in attacking her. Today's great Warhammer Online One Shots was sent in to us by Yavvy, who didn't explain what she seems to be defending against, only noting that this is a: Rank 8 White Lion, having just entered Hunter's Vale.

When it comes to ways of getting around, Warhammer Online has some particularly good-looking horse armor. Sure, you could get funky winged animals and whatnot, but it takes an extra step to get your mount to coordinate with your clothes. Take this lovely High Elf sent in to us by Yavvy, who writes in: Heya. [This is] my awesome Swordmaster on her awesome mount, taken in Caledor. We can only guess what she's waiting for, alone in the woods like that.

Home to both the Elves of Order and Destruction, the Blighted Isle in Warhammer Online is an area many new players have gotten to see. That said, not all of them have opted to head out to where today's One Shots contributor Yavvy did to catch this interesting view of the zone. With as peaceful as this image is, you might almost forget about the ongoing battles between the Asur and Druchii going on nearby.
