What day is it? Well besides that; we're so not going there right now. It's EverQuest Two-sday! That means Massively's MJ is going to go spend time in the great land of Norrath doing Norrathian things. The only question is, which thing? Last time, Massively's MJ showed the very beginnings of life in The Repopulation, including character creation and the newbie trainers. The Stream Team: A last look at Landmark (pre-PvE, that is)
Landmark as you know it is going the way of the dodo and dinosaurs -- not that there ever were any dodos or dinosaurs in Landmark. There wasn't any wildlife at all. But that's the point: Come Monday, the game is changing in a major way with, among other things, the addition of PvE and mobs. Multi-tiered islands, deep cavers with independent biomes, gaveyards, and underground ley lines for travel... calling it a whole new world is not very far off. *cue Disney music* So Massively's MJ is taking one final stroll through the islands to soak up their final hours as they are, all so she can tell all the young whippersnappers, "Back in my day we didn't have no mobs, and we had to walk the whole way, on our feet!" Dr. Corey Olsen, better known as Washington College's Tolkien Professor, will be holding an open course in Lord of the Rings Online for any and all who would like to understand the lore of the books by exploring the game.

The course will take place on the Landroval server. Here, Olsen (who has a mid-level Guardian) will go through the epic storyline, explore the areas, and compare those to passages from Tolkien's writings. He asked for players to help fight off mobs during his explorations so that he will be free to examine and lecture without distraction.

Olsen's teachings will initially be livestreamed on LotRO's official Twitch channel, although the course will be recorded for viewing later on as well. No dates for the course have been set as of yet.
