If you've ever played <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/face-of-mankind"><em>Face of Mankind</em></a>, you may have gotten something of a blast from the past in your inbox this morning. The sci-fi sandbox MMORPG is under new management, and the team at <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/nexeon-technologies">Nexeon Technologies</a> sent out an email blurb advertising the fact that the game has undergone significant changes (and has a new website and forum to boot).<br />
<br />
Nexeon provides a list of all the tweaks that have occurred in recent months, including frequent patches and bug fixes, account portal integration, a new tutorial, and the implementation of famous New York City locales including Brooklyn and Ground Zero.<br />
<br />
The press release also hints at major updates still in the planning stages, including an item shop, additional colonies, customizable apartments, and more. <em>Face of Mankind</em> is notable for being one of a very few MMORPGs to emphasize roleplay, community, and player-driven politics as primary gameplay systems, and you can read more about the title at its official website.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/08/22/face-of-mankind-under-new-management-adding-new-features/">Face of Mankind under new management, adding new features</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Mon, 22 Aug 2011 11:00:00 EST. <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/05/14/the-mog-log-fit-for-man-and-beast/">I feel a little bit about <em>RoM</em> like Eliot does</a> about <a href="http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/index.shtml"><em>Final Fantasy XI</em></a> right now. News seems a tad sparse for <a href="http://us.runesofmagic.com/us/index.html"><em>Runes of Magic</em></a> this week. We've had a few updates about Chapter 4, which is still on its way; I've recently gotten the <a href="http://massively.enjin.com/forum/m/1607038/viewthread/785281-massively-runes-magic-eventguild"><em>RoM</em> event-guild</a> going (<a href="http://www.livestream.com/massivelytv/video?clipId=pla_7ff2d204-33ef-4ea1-81e0-8d8b68b0a873&amp;utm_source=lslibrary&amp;utm_medium=ui-thumb">in spite of a rocky start</a>); and <a href="http://frogster-america.com/dev/index.html">Frogster</a> gave us a sneak-peek of a major class rebalance. But most everything it still on the horizon.<br />
<br />
It allows for lots of fun speculation, as new updates always do. Will Dwarves be a playable race? Are Scouts getting nerfed or made even stronger? This week I put together a roundup of Chapter 4 news with a healthy dose of speculation thrown in. As you'll see after the break, we've actually been shown a lot, but no doubt there's even more we haven't seen at all. And that leaves us all with questions.<p><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/05/16/lost-pages-of-taborea-chapter-4-roundup-and-speculation/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Lost Pages of Taborea: Chapter 4 roundup and speculation</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/05/16/lost-pages-of-taborea-chapter-4-roundup-and-speculation/">Lost Pages of Taborea: Chapter 4 roundup and speculation</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Mon, 16 May 2011 13:00:00 EST. New York City is, like, totally bummed out. Intrepid explorers in <a href="http://www.hellokittyonline.com"><em>Hello Kitty Online</em></a> recently found the city to be deserted due to an unknown cause -- Cloverfield monster? Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man? Sex and the City 3 filming downtown? Nobody knows! With its upcoming update, "<a href="http://www.hellokittyonline.com/news-and-update/hko-news/399-mysteriesofnewyork01242010">Mysteries of New York</a>," <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/hello-kitty-online/"><em>HKO</em></a> players will dig deeper into this investigation while cheering up the emerging inhabitants.<br />
<br />
Yup, that's right: Cheering them up. After all, this is <em>Hello Kitty Online</em>, a game that practically exudes pastel cheer from every pore. With the free January 24th update, players will engage in the return of the "Cheer System" which uses a variety of sparklers to lift the spirit of grouchy residents. Because nothing empowers one's attitude like a face-full of sizzling fireworks!<br />
<br />
Mysteries of New York will contain a hefty assortment of other goodies as well, including costume sets, a sizable invasion of penguins, new pets and bosses, and a capsule machine that gives you the chance to win groovy prizes. You can check out all of the details of this update <a href="http://www.hellokittyonline.com/news-and-update/hko-news/399-mysteriesofnewyork01242010">at <em>Hello Kitty Online</em></a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com"><img src="http://massively.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Massively" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/01/21/hello-kitty-online-meets-manhattan/">Hello Kitty Online meets Manhattan</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com">Massively</a> on Fri, 21 Jan 2011 22:00:00 EST.
