i find the return to thorins gate dwarven skill is actually othe most useful racial travel skill in the game. I know once my man champ got it through reputation I stopped using bree.

It's the only main hub (of the four racial travel skills) that has a skirmish camp, vault, auction house, PLUS forge and relic masters, and it is also far less crowded than bree or the 21st hall.

it's aching for an update and i have the screenies to do it, i've just been lazy.
It is pretty stunning out there, I've really been enjoying just running around and exploring the nooks and crannies.

while doing the repeatable rep quests, of course ;)

you download the files, equip an instrument - any bard sells the basic ones, you gain the ability to use them as passive skills and a minstrel can 'mentor' you as well, if the skill is unavailable - type /music and you're ready to go. you can play manually with the number keys, or /play [song title] to load the abc's and play those flawlessly.

I've been loving buffbars - tried a couple others and they just haven't grabbed me yet. too clunky or buggy.

unfortunately the hotfix yesterday seems to have disabled/broken buffbars, at least for me. time to do some searching on the forums.

a little icon pops up (like the old volcano when there were too many people on).
can't remember exactly what the tooltip says, something about it being layered and when you join a fellowship you will be moved to the same layer as the leader. Noticed it in Bree and Enedwaith last night. certainly wouldn't have noticed if not for the icon.

i'm gonna miss people playing in front of the pony, but i'm not gonna miss the lag.
