Agreed. The "active players" comments are so predictable and stale. We've had these same debates about every subscription and F2P game to date and they will never go away completely. What is SOE supposed to say? It's in their best interest as a developer of games to show their products in the best possible light. Heaven forbid people actually enjoy a game for once.

Massively follows LotRO quite a bit, so there probably isn't much reason for Joystiq to do so. No need for the hate though.

It's playable, but much more difficult than using something with actual... buttons. Very hard to make precise jumps, but I imagine I will get used to it.

It does seem odd, but there was a sale that included Dark Messiah last month on Steam. That probably doesn't explain it being #3, but it might've helped.
