Ah, a fellow lover of free running or parkour! I will admit to you today that I am one of the infamous few (the bald human and guy who filmed of this) who created the EverQuest 2 Parkour video.
I had a bunch more footage to make into other videos, as well as a sweet route in Freeport to show off, but never got around to making subsequent videos. I may have actually deleted that footage... will have to look.
All of the stuff we did was on a live server with regular clients (in fact, all the people doing it except for me were non-devs, so no cheating was involved).
Oh, and despite all of the comments about us using gnomish spring boots and things like that, we didn't. We didn't even have a bard or jboots (you can see that we have no clothes on whatsoever)--just sprint.
1. I never said that players will ALWAYS act in a negative manner just because you let them.
2. In the end I explain that I really like Public Quests, and I'm only treating them this way because they have more potential than any PvE system added to traditional MMOs in a long time.
3. I was being a little sarcastic the entire time. ;)
Not sure if everyone has already seen these, but we gave postcards to a few places with some "Copernicus" concept art. You can find them on Zam and TTH:
