HTC EVO 4G is Sprint's Android-powered knight in superphone armor, we go hands-on
Mar 23rd 2010 5:23PM (Engadget)My only problem is Sense UI. Not a fan. And who's to guarantee that you'll get Android updates in a timely fashion. Look at the Hero on Sprint. Sure it'll get 2.1 soon, but it's all up to HTC to make the updates available due to having the skin on top of Android.
That and Sense UI can't be much different on Android than it is on Windows Mobile. Yet here they say it's a revolution, but on the HD2 it's pretty, but not good enough. I understand the hate for Windows Mobile, but what are the differences in the Sense UI on Android vs WinMo?
Otherwise, this is a gorgeous phone. I just hope they release it with stock Android on it. Love the huge screen and HDMI out and an actual usable camera.
