So the hypothetical person in this trailer gets blown up, costing him a few days of work. To get revenge, he spends months or years scheming, deceiving his friends, and savoring his bitter anger so that he can finally stab them all in the back.
Don't you think it's a bit of an overstatement to say that Elusive is "necessary" for space tanking? It gives you 0.1 to defense, big whoop. You'll overcome that with your first gear upgrade. Sure, if you're hell-bent on min-maxing, go ahead and optimize, but saying that humans can't tank well is a bit farfetched.
Okay, speaking as someone who's been in since the beginning of Closed Beta, this poster is incorrect in almost every regard:
* You unlock a third character slot at level 5. So you'll wind up with three character slots, not two. * There is a z-axis. Watch the videos if you doubt. * There are lots of instances, but they're shared and public. This allows everybody to play on the same server without having huge traffic problems. * I like the ground combat. Getting lucky with an AoE Expose/Exploit and vaporising three Klingons at once is *delicious*. If it feels clunky, try adjusting your settings--maybe it's your framerate.
Very good article! No-nonsense and very informative. I didn't know I could stack my mote-detector with a Blacksmithing socket! Awesome!
Engineering stuff is so helpful when leveling. As a Protection Paladin, round-'em-up-and-consecrate is my preferred style of combat, but this is limited by mob leash ranges; being able to toss an Avenger's Shield in one direction and a Pyro-Rocket in another can double the size of a grinding group and the speed at which I complete a mission.
Also, Flexweave Underlay + Nitro Boosts + a large structure to jump off of = FUN! Be your own rocket-powered hang glider, no Cold Weather Flying necessary!
