i just read the referenced article in diepresse - and cannot find a mention of what the author of this post claims. rather the nokia guy is talking about nokia's asset in competing with google in navigation - having free ovi maps on their handsets, which dont require downloads so much as gmaps.
@lethality ... wasn't there a feed that leaves out SL articles? i for one am subscribed to the SL only feed of massively and wouldnt want to miss tateru's reports which are always highly informative!
as for the lab ... many seem to overlook that the lab either already has oder will soon have established a new revenue stream independent from the Second Life virtual world: Grid technologies - with customers from IBM downwards.
this also means LL may easily be able to keep up competetive prices on the SL grid if and when some day alternative public grids offer reliable services and economies.
