Community Detective Issue #17: Runes of Magic

Jan 19th 2011 2:51PM (Massively)
In fairness you can get the item to speak in global chat for free from mini-games or the instance near obsidian stronghold. at least the last time i played.

And i did have a positive experience with customer service.

But that is not to say I haven't had posts/threads deleted in their forums or seen misbehaviour by community reps.

basing whether or not you play a game based on one specific luxury item, well thats your coice. even if it does seem silly when the rest of the game looks pretty impressive.

Guilds to face new challenges in Runes of Magic Chapter III

Apr 10th 2010 12:13AM (Massively)
My guild invested huge amounts of crafting materials and gold to get the original drilling grounds. a giant waste of time and effort.

it was whack-a-mole with terrible, terrible rewards.

not only was it not fun, and difficult to do if you had any amount of lag, but the rewards were appropriate for levels 1-15 maybe.

I'm not saying these new instances are anything alike, but I wouldn't hold up any hope for them being great additions to RoM.

Dungeon Fighter Online hits 197,000,000 registered players

Apr 8th 2010 5:00AM (Massively)
Like I said above, they could analyse it, do the math some of the other people in the comments have done, logically think about it, and include that in the post with their press release, instead of being impressed by it and playing it up.

Or they could not post it at all, since it's kind of meaningless without any context or explanation. Are "registered players" real live seperate people? Considering the math I don't think so.

Those kind of repercussions. Say silly stuff, get called on it.

I don't blame justin, or anyone else who posts these press releases but I dislike that there is virtually never any time given to the fact that these press releases are highly suspect the vast majority of the time.

I'm really not a fan of massively passing on these "statistics" without offering any kind of basic analysis.

it's extremely well known at this point that mmo companies inflate and distort virtually any release of information on player numbers, this is no exception.

I have no doubt the number comes from somewhere, but the misrepresentation in this particular case is frustrating.

You're basically sending a sign that they can say whatever they want, and massively will put it up there. no repercussions.

My issue isn't with nexon, it's with massively. What the F are you posting this ridiculousness for?

the obey / dismantle pages now are linked to their appropriate facebook pages.

probably some form of "we get this certain amount of fans and the game progresses" type of thing.

Guild Wars wants to know: will you obey or dismantle?
