Bleh, I got a beta invite on Saturday. Still haven't managed to get it installed because there's some kind of installer bug. I'm not the only one, the Beta Tech forum is filled with people bitching about it. I wouldn't be so annoyed about it, but the other six people who share my network are pissed that I've been downloading the 10 gigs of data all weekend long, slowing down their connection, and I STILL don't have it going yet.

Hmm, it kinda sounds like Farmville has come to Pandaria. Keeping a wait and see attitude, but I'm definitely excited about the new mount quests.

I don't care for dailies, either, but I don't begrudge others doing them. What I would like is are alternative ways to gain rep. or unlock vendors that appeal to a wider range of play styles. For example, you could do daily quests OR you could kill mobs OR you could run dungeons OR you could do battlegrounds, but it's not limited to just one of those things. I log in to farm leather because it is zen for me. Making rep. grinds complicated by having a quest giver and turn in and only being able to do a quest once a day just makes me not want to do any dailies.

Our guild has finally decide to learn how to raid with other friends from different servers, thanks to the new cross-realm raiding. We've had two hilarious fails in Ahn'Qiraj and Serpentine Cavern so far (with a raid size of four), but we remain undaunted in our quest to get all the achievements in game. :)

Before my husband and I got married we were four states away from each other, so we would log out sitting together on the back deck of the inn in Thunderbluff. I'm Native American, so I still feel most comfortable in the Tauren areas, despite my main being an orc.

The Staff of Jordan dropped for me off a troll in Stranglethorn Vale in vanilla days. It was, without a doubt, the best drop I ever got because I hated Stranglethorn at the time (pvp server), I hated the trolls in Stranglethorn, and it was my first ever epic drop. I used it for many levels even though I'm an enhance shaman, and it still sits in my bank, brought out on special occasions.

I'm 1,820 fish into That's A Lot of Bait in a guild that doesn't do a lot (or any) fishing, but I am determined to get The Iron Chef achievement, which means I need to fish up 10k Cataclysm fish with only seven active guild members and only two of us interested in the Seafood Magnifique Feast recipe. It's like dreaming about someday seeing raid content before there was LFR if you're in a small casual guild.

I've been in the same guild since I joined in Dec. 2005. I've been an officer off and on, but we're not serious about anything, not raiding or PVP or achievements. We just hang out, do a few dungeons now and then, and everyone works on their separate goals (mostly collecting pets and mounts and completing holiday achievements). Sometimes we get more serious people involved and they either assimilate to our slacker agenda or cycle out to more committed guilds.
