Rumor: Blizzard embracing F2P for unannounced game

Feb 23rd 2012 2:08PM (Massively)
zowie.. you're kidding, I hope it's nothing they expect me to want to play.. I've about had enough of the "F2P" model.

CCP still planning to expand EVE's station gameplay

Feb 23rd 2012 2:06PM (Massively)
I am excited by some of the things that in station gaming could bring.. that said there are a few things that I would still like to see addressed in the flying direction.. industry-wise.. Orcas still suffer from stacking bugs when moving cargo.. I'd like to see better cargo allocation tools for the orca when the many types of ops support it can give. Looking forward to black ops help, and factional warfare additions.

The Soapbox: The illusion of balance

Feb 21st 2012 9:19PM (Massively)
Finally! I've been saying this for years. There is no such thing as balance and real attempts at trying to balance will ultimately make all classes unsatisying and boring.. Calling skills of differing classes different things and attaching very different graphics when the skills are acomplsihing the same things in the same way is something we're seeing more and more. I hate what theyve done to mages in wow because of the cries about balance.. some skills have become usless placeholders because they have been turned in to kid glove versions of their former self.

What Blizzard seem to do lately is rotate the classes with differing power throughout the season.. this way no one is really satisfied.

The Daily Grind: Are heirloom items bad for MMOs?

Feb 20th 2012 12:57PM (Massively)
no they are not bad.. the heirloom items in wow are not the best items in slot though many twinks treat them that way. I'm happy to have an account bound item I can share wiht all my characters.

Leaderboard: Leveling vs. endgame

Feb 20th 2012 12:53PM (Massively)
I can't make a choice because they are both equally important to me. without a good and entertaining levleing experiance you won't have people working up to end game .. with out end game content or at least fun activity the leveled players will not hang around.

If end game is most important why not just have 2 levels.. noob and end gamer... if leveling is most important no level cap would be the order of the day.. I feel without one the other suffers though.

The Daily Grind: What do you look for when taking screenshots?

Feb 19th 2012 11:30AM (Massively)
memories with composition good enough that I can make a good sig out of it.

The Daily Grind: Do you think MMO exit surveys are a waste of time?

Feb 18th 2012 11:20AM (Massively)
I haven't really thought about it enough to form an opinion about whether or not they they are a waste.. I guess it depends on what they do with the information.. which I will probably never know.

Webzen giving away fully geared high-level characters

Feb 15th 2012 2:06PM (Massively)
Ok I've been holding off on saying anything about this for months now... but I've finally had enough. Why is it that massively always links to it'self instead of to a stories source? I'm tired of clicking on the links so lovingly offered only to find they link to the same article I just read at massively....
