The Daily Grind: Do social media tie-ins annoy you?

Mar 18th 2012 2:45AM (Massively)
I can't stand having to use some thing like Facebook. I don't us it and don't want to. You've got a web site? Why are you force potential customers to use another web site. It's like when I go to a games web site and all there is, is a video and a JOIN NOW! I want to find out about you classes or story or your, for lack of a nicer term gimmick. Why is it I can't find your front page or forums with out Google?

"Unit types are fairly standard; you've got artillery, flying units, and bipedal mechs straight out of Aliens standing in for infantry."- Emil Vazquez

Is it just me or does those mechs lookless like Alien's and more like the Matrix Revolution's: where Captain Mifune leads the human defense of Zion, piloting open-cockpit mech-like machines called APUs against invading Sentinels.

"Darth Maul's tattoos are not typical of a Zabrak. In fact, those markings are actually Sith markings."- Larry Everett

This is an old quote form Star Wars The Clone Wars 3.13, back when they had really cool behind the scene info on Starwars.com. (I can't find is any more from the source):
"When Maul first appeared, his striking striped patterning was quickly assumed to be an example of Sith heritage by many artists and writers. They are not exclusive or even derived from Sith, but are instead the markings of a warrior."- Unknown

Now, my thinking is that some Empire-side Zabrak liked or inherited the tattoos from their sith trained or serving parent(s), clan(s) or ancienter(s). Explaining why their clan or at least family would us them. Of note is that the Twi'leks for Sith Inquisitor get at least four patterns that look suspiciously inspired by Darth Talon's "sith tattoos". So yeah, the tattoos can be sith or at the least, are an aggressive warrior tattoo. That would be a good enough reason that you can't use those tattoos on Republic-side Zabrak, at least until you earn them with the legacy system. :P

The first thing I would do is give the LOTRO Lifetime VIP to my wife for Christmas, since she got me SWTOR Collector's Edition.
