@RogueJedi86 Nobody thought TOR would do anything special. If anyone thought that game would be more than the same old crap we've seen a thousand times then they're idiots.
They didn't innovate a damn thing and the built the game on an unfinished engine. I bought the game purely for the story and quest aspect. Literally the only thing good about the game was not having to go gather crap on my own. Sending companions was nice.
GW2 is innovating the genre...It will not only sell more than SWTOR but it will run better and be properly maintained. Unlike BioFail, ArenaNet actually cares about their games.
You morons can call people "hate trolls" when they dislike a game, even if it's a broken pile of crap(SWTOR) or you call them "fanboys" if they like a game that will most likely succeed(GW2) and take customers away from your generic, rehashed garbage(SWTOR).
Have fun. That's all that matters. If you like playing the same crap with a different story and paying a monthly fee and dealing with a broken engine that will most likely never be fixed, by all means stick with SWTOR.
I'll be playing a game that has no monthly fee, has better graphics, a better story and 100x more innovation. Toodles.
A lot of the stuff Bioware did could have been perfected/implemented before the games release but EA and it's shareholders rushed the process and the release.
Same thing happened to BF3. That game was really broken at the beginning and hell to this day there are still THOUSANDS of players with game-stuttering issues. Something that has been a problem since the beta. And these players(myself included) are running on machines that well surpass the games requirements.
My machine should run BF3 on ultra with 0 issues. I spent my money upgrading it and I deserve to run at those settings. When BF3 released I had no issues but I got bored with the game after a month. I came back last week to find that after my first death in a new game the game begins to stutter. It's terrible and DICE wont admit there's a problem.
Same thing with Bioware's engine..they won't admit there is a problem. Hell when people were having issues they said "only 5% of the user-base is experiencing these problems" 5% my ass. My entire server complained about it.
PC gaming is great, I love it and will never quit it..but it's going down a dark road right now.
You act like I'm assuming every game is terrible. Yes there are some good games..but there are also terrible games getting good reviews from critics.
Not to mention user's bombing the reviews, games getting 9/10 stars that are clearly worse than the previous version of the game yet that version got a 7. Oh and the BIGGER PICTURE, developers and other employees getting FIRED for some stupid critic's review.

EA is more at fault imo though.

Apr 3rd 2012 7:21PM (Massively)In fact I talked a few of my friends out of buying it. After they did some research of their own they fully agreed with me.

Apr 3rd 2012 9:57AM (Joystiq)How about you fix the thousands of stuttering cases on PC?
My machine is a 6core, CF 6950, 12GB RAM with Win7 64 and yet it stutters at 90 FPS.
I've done everything, even the extreme's like updating sound drivers and buying a new SSD just for BF3.
Such a disappointment. Game ran flawlessly for me back on release.

Apr 1st 2012 7:23PM (Joystiq)Hard working employees lose their jobs over the shit reviews from these sites and it's disgusting.
Oh btw..if you use a review site to purchase your games you've been hit with the stupid stick too many times.
MW3 got 9/10 or 100's across the board..yea, I don't think I need to say anything else about that...
