Trade and crafting are great fun! I have to say I used to really love EVE:Online for its markets (which still exist, I just don't play anymore). I would happily travel from one system to another, buying up modules for cheap and then selling them back for a nice profit.

I will be interesting to see how Pathfinder Online works starting small and then growing slowly, with much lower costs.
Saying that, I would have thought that the SW:TOR size companies have a big team ensuring that they always have enough people to keep the venture profitable.

The Soapbox: Defining the WoW-killer

I think we can all agree, that there will be no one reason for the end of WoW. For me, it was slaying the Lich King. As a Warcraft 3 player, I felt that the Lich King was the end boss for wow. The bosses added in Cata seemed a little meaningless.

Star Trek Online dev blog clarifies free-to-play currency trades

There is something about currency systems and the Federation which doesn't sit well with me. The idea of trading ships etc? What did any of the famous captains grind dilithium or pay to get into ships?
Its always made me feel just a bit uncomfortable about the progression. A type of prestige or recognition seemed the best way to go.
Well that's just my opinion :)
