Nope. Wasn't interested before, I'm still not interested.

League of Legends turns two, reskins Fiddlesticks

Oct 27th 2011 1:28PM (Massively)
@chrisredfield31 Well the community designed the skin, not necessarily for the anniversary. Someone posted the concept 4 months ago. People started posting up artwork for it. It got over ten thousand "likes", yes" votes and replies so riot added it.

"It's hard to believe that what started as a bunch of friends screaming surprise into vent when fiddles ulted in has turned into this."

Played this game's Korean version for 3 months because I mistakenly bought time in bulk. I regret all but the first month. It's a pretty face with no personality. The end game in particular. Those who could tell the game is short on substance have hit the nail on the head.

It was only a matter of time before Blizzard turned over to the dark side

APB Reloaded cracks down on cheaters

@(Unverified) I don't understand how cheating is fun for anyone. The people who win aren't playing the game, they have programs do it for them. Therefore I don't see the fun in watching a software play for you.

It's also not fun for the competitive players who have to compete against malicious hackers, some even feel like the might have to go over to the dark side if they wish to keep up.

And finally the developers certainly don't have fun dealing with these miscreants.

Although I'm sure the hack makers who rake in tens of thousands of dollars a month are enjoying it.

APB Reloaded cracks down on cheaters

@jmerriex Just shows people enjoy the "pay to win" aspect of games of late. These misguided gamers paid for their account. They spent half-a-grand on micro transactions and paid monthly for hack software.

Games too hard? Just throw money at it until you win. No skill necessary. ಠ_ಠ

Perfect World Entertainment announces War of the Immortals

This will be another pay to win game that loses a lot of it's steam after a few months. They designed their cube engine so they can quickly make generic re-hashes of the same rpg with a different title and a few different features and fill the cash shop with items that make it absolutely necessary to spend money to succeed in high level competitive play. Based on PWE's track record, I certainly will not be checking out this mmo

But hey people keep shelling out money for these games. Perhaps my viewpoint on the situation doesn't reflect that of the masses.

Aion fail-proof manastone supplements available in the cash shop

Sep 28th 2011 11:48AM (Massively)
Wow! This really ruins the integrity of the game. Cash Shops should not sell power, especially pay to play or buy to play games with cash shop. The user is already supporting your game via buying the box and monthly fees as well as cosmetic purchases.

But sadly the more players keep buying these sorts of items, the more publishers will try to sell power. I could definitely see this 9/28 - 10/11 being a test run to see how the community reacts and how much profit they can squeeze out of it. If it looks promising I can see more items like this being sold on a more permanent basis.

If this is the future of MMOs then you can leave me out of it.

@BigAndShiny I'm cool with everything on that list except Health Pots. I don't want pay to win items and that sounds like an item that could quickly become mandatory to have competitive success in PVP.

XP Boost however is not. So they hit max level a week faster than me? That's no big deal in the long run.

@(Unverified) Important to you. I personally couldn't give a shit if the gameplay is fun. Different strokes for different folks.

The ones who whine about gender locking and such are just missing out on great games.
