May 14th 2009 10:18AM (WoW)I'm at the point now where though I love the game, I generally log on to do some dailys, maybe a heroic or 10-man EoE, and log off. For me, although raiding is/was a blast, my real enjoyment is the leveling process with close RL friends.
To that end I have been playing Lord of the Rings Online with my long-time gaming partner, and we are slowly making our way through the levels, enjoying the process in a fresh environment. Though I play WoW, it isn't a priority in my life.

For Epicz?
That's gotta be the dumbest thing I've heard in a long time, and the attitude they have taken is just disgusting. No one cares about your e-accomplishments, Viagra! Err... Ensidia. Congratulations for defeating your pixels, but let's be serious - you are not a "franchise." You're a guild. In a videogame. You aren't superstars.
Is anyone else totally bored by this whole thing? The competition was the interesting part of the raid scene, and now it's just boring when the same superguild destroys whatever Blizzard comes out with. Sure, part of it is probably a question to Blizz themselves - "why is it so damned easy?" - but even then, I don't imagine what this guild is doing could possibly be considered fun.

Jun 4th 2008 7:51AM (Massively)As much as I miss playing with my Scarlet Crusade friends, the amount of time they have outside of raids is small, and tough to manage. I've taken to defecting Alliance side with my RL friends. We currently have Deadmines on farm, and it is keeping the game fresh for us (I've only ever mained Horde toons.)
WoW is a prime example of fantastic game design that keeps you coming back. It will take a KILLER game to bring me out, but I play the game for my friends when it comes down to it. I'm waiting on Warhammer (I'm in beta now) and my friends and I will assuredly move on to that, but for now there's enough to keep us in Azeroth.
