@Lucidus Even though they will do better than breaking even with even just $50 x 3,000,000 which is a very bad and rough calculation due to price differences between the different versions available.
Sale isn't valid in Australia / New Zealand either.
Digital retailers really need to drop this BS. I get sick of steam adjusting prices based on regions. Through steam alone, AU/NZ pays anywhere from 50 - 70% more for the majority of games compared to someone who resides in the US.
This really annoys me especially, because I am a US citizen by descent. I understand some regions have laws to prevent digital retailers from undercutting local retailers, but you can't run with that ball in every region just because one region said to.
Half the time it's cheaper for me to purchase games from the UK and have them shipped to New Zealand, than to purchase it through steam. They don't even change the prices to NZD, they are all USD: blatant cash grab money gouging.
@Valkesh That is true, and I feel the same way. I also wish distributors would stop hiking the prices up on digital copies. If people want the physical goodies they can pay extra, digital should be cheaper.
Well, to be fair the CE comes with a hand painted figure cast in high quality poly-stone which isn't available anywhere else. These retail for upwards of $60 or more from the Gentle Giant website. If you add that, plus the cost of the game itself then doesn't the remaining difference cover the remaining items, including; the metal case, journal, galaxy map, authenticator, soundtrack and exclusive in-game items even the DE doesn't get.
Personally, it is too expensive for me, but I can totally see how they are pricing it if you take into consideration what it contains.
They are doing nothing what so ever for players who aren't currently subscribed, but had previously purchased the discs. I've thought about returning to check out the "improvements" but this throws all those thoughts right out the window.
I've been reading the forums a lot, and the oceanic community is enraged over the mismanagement of the nezekan server merge. NCSoft basically scattered them across the four remaining servers, making it difficult for both pve and pvp as the servers no longer run an oceanic clock. Faction imbalance looks severe with elyos dominating on every server. The apparent gear gap between elyos and asmodian is making things worse, as most asmodians can't even do anything in the abyss without getting steamrolled.
