"Lifesteal items are also on the chopping block, with the goal of making damage harder to regenerate in a lane."
No. Leaving Doran's the same, the mastery, and the runes, means lane sustain lifesteal isn't changing much. The video even explicitly said the nerf is for teamfights and skirmishes, so AD carries can't hop out of a fight then return at full life a moment later.
@Nucleon Right now, the Executioner's Calling is a vastly underrated life steal item. Since it's not getting nerfed, I bet we will see its use jump up drastically. Then we'll see it nerfed. Especially when someone like Trist can use it to full effect and then utterly shut down a Mundo or Vlad with it and her E.
They really ought to have just called this "ancillary power pools," that would have gotten the message across much more succinctly. Seriously, this whole "city of heroes is still stomping us, so let's just add their features over here" bit is getting old.
I have one of those Acer Aspires from WalMart. I upgraded the HDD to 500 gbs, other than that it's stock. It's a little older (single core, etc).
It plays City of Heroes like any other computer with an Intel GPU would. The graphics can be funky, a little dark, and wentworth's looks like a fun house. For playing on the road, it does just fine though.
Beau's articles have inspired me to try many MMOs. I'm not sure which all were from his or otherwise, but from this sight I have heard about and then tried: Dofus, Allods, Runes of Magic*, League of Legends*, Superhero Squad Online*, Champions Online F2P, DDO, WAR, and probably more. I guess I had HEARD of some of these before, but never tried before I read about them here.
* - I still play them regularly.
City of Heroes is still the flagship MMO of my life. Even when I'm not actively engaged, it's the measure of all other video games. That was pre-Massively though.
@Jenks I like when someone accuses another of being ignorant, when they showed they didn't even take 15 seconds to Google the topic and see just how ignorant they themselves were in the first place.
@Paradigm68 No, you took a hard stance on a topic that is debated. That's called having an opinion, not being right.
While you're busy looking up "acronym" and "opinion," you may want to check out the difference between "descriptive" and "prescriptive" in terms of lexicon and grammar as well. In the real world, "descriptive" always trumps "prescriptive," and just to summarize, for you, a massively complex system and how it relates to this discussion in 5 simple words: "what you said was wrong."
People think disorient = stun because 99% of this game and its mechanics are straight from CoH. It's hard to remember what the 1% is.
Plus we won't know if this was actually a success until January when the financial are out. Based on the floods of complaining on their forums about the F2P model I doubt it's really a success.
Doctor Doom has actually become the go to villain in the past few years. He's so much the kind of villain that they can always use. He's extremely potent, evil, but not crazy, and never fully reveals his intentions.
Mysterio being the main villain in Shattered Dimensions, now that was worth a chuckle.
But anyway, a F2P multiplayer game and you're so quick to compare it to the singleplayer games? Don't you have friends you enjoy playing games with from time to time?
