GDC 2012: The Secret World's crafting, combat (and cutscenes) revealed
Mar 16th 2012 7:17AM (Massively)Funcom has stated the game will have monthly subs and a cash shop that will NOT feature any play2win items. It will purely be about convenience and customization, so I really dont know what people are complaining about.
If someone wants to pay 10$ to have a yellow shirt instead of a blue one, will that really ruin my game? Really? If the answer is yes then I am very happy not to be playing with you ;)
Massively revisits Bloodline Champions and gets pwned
Feb 4th 2011 7:35AM (Massively)To your credit you are very honest about it, and you are actually quite positive (despite yourself), but I still find it very unfair to a this small independent game studio to put a "hater" on the reviewing side.
Think about it; if you actually like this game, despite trying so hard not to, how might someone who also enjoy the genre review it? I'm not asking for a fanboy, but someone with experience in - and a liking for - games like LoL, HoN, WoW arena, would probably have a lot to say about how this game measures up to its competition.
Massively revisits Bloodline Champions and gets pwned
Feb 4th 2011 7:25AM (Massively)Lol, what?
I am mid/high ELO in LoL and had no problem winning most of my matches in BC, right off the bat.
BC is certainly a very focused game, you either like it or you dont, and its all about the competition. But you are matched against equal opponents and will have no problems finding fun matchups (albeit a tiny tad of AI training before that first match is probably a good idea).
I definately do not consider BC to be less newbie-friendly than LoL, I'd say its much the same (though learning to play BC is a lot quicker, as it is a far more focused/narrow game)
