Enter at Your Own Rift: Looking back at RIFT's first year

Feb 29th 2012 4:52PM (Massively)
I really enjoy Rift. While I needed to take a break I haven' t stopped my 3 mos. sub plan and definitely will be going back. It's a quality product that runs without major problems and the events add some fun and variety.

Happy Birthday Rift. Glad you're still around stronger than when you started.

EverQuest Online Adventures sunsetting March 29th

While this is sad I give SOE credit for keeping it going this long. Good for them. Giving that 3 mos. of Gold membership is also really really great customer care. I just might jump back into EQII to show my support for their choices.

Guild Wars 2 closed beta impressions -- Elisabeth's thoughts

I will say this..the game looks incredible and I guarantee you it will out last even the smallest thought of Tera by many many years. Tera is just another Aion with a few new features. Games that are Korean based eventually desolve into that Korean state of mind..grind, grind, grind. I would drop my money on Guild Wars 2 faster than I would Tera..especially considering all the crafting opportunities.

I think SOE should at least offer to transfer those characters over to the PC version. I don't have much sympathy for anyone playing on a MAC and being disappointed in the games they can't play. The writing has always been on the wall and if you continue to swim upstream...don't be surprised when you get nowhere. Sorry...buy a gaming Laptop for about $1,000 and get on with it. Stop fighting the fight.

Square Enix reassessing Final Fantasy XIV server merges

I still have this on my hard drive but won't pay a penny for it until they drop the stupid price you pay just to have an account then they add on an additional fee - per month - for each character you create. Talk about greedy. I should be able to pay $15 a month and create all the characters I want. THey want to charge us like $10 then $3 per character slot. That is just wrong.

I also don't want to deal with no recipes, no recipe books and no indication of how to learn a recipe. You want to ALT+TAB out to look for a recipe online??? LOL...good luck..the game is designed to log you out if you even attempt to ALT TAB.

The game just punishes those who want to enjoy it. I haven't seen enough changes that fix what was broken in the first place and to be honest...I don't want to keep holding out hope.

Still no way to store a recipe and no recipes to get...I love to craft but FF just makes it so punishing to try to figure out what to make. You have to go outside the game to look it up...but can't ALT+Tab out because that makes the client shut down. Not fun. GIve us recipes and a recipe book and I'm there...100%

I agree that it's very surprising that gay or straight relationships in games has to be such a big deal. As a gay man I would like to know when it's allowed in game but does it always have to be a news story that it's in? I mean walk out the door...gay and straight relationships are everywhere. Welcome to planet earth!! ; )

EverQuest Mac fans fight for survival; SOE responds

Jan 31st 2012 8:40PM (Massively)
While sad they only have Steve Jobs to blame for his inability to see that people want to play games and help support it on their systems. I had a Mac until I realized almost none of the games my friends were enjoying would ever come out for the Mac. It's improved but not to the point that I would go back to Apple as a game player.
