BioWare's Gabe Amatangelo speaks on faction imbalance, UI customization, Ops, and more

Jan 25th 2012 6:59PM (Massively)
@dudemanjac Let me help you understand then. Everyone has different Pc's, which means what everyone looks at is different. a good example is i play on 5 screens. in WoW with addons i move all the information that i want to exactly where i want it. now with TOR i cant move anything. i have ui elements that are miles away, and its just not worth my bother. another example is, if you have tried something better (like custom UI) then its hard to go back to what someone else thinks is a good fit for you. i enjoy TOR with friends but dont take the game seriously. have unsubbed until a later time.

EVE Evolved: Music to watch the stars by

Jan 22nd 2012 8:40PM (Massively)
I feel so strongly about the music in Eve that I almost hate you for suggesting other kinds of music to play in EVE. Y
ou are talking about 2 things here, the actual music itself, and way it is delivered to the player. EVEs music is amazing. ALL other mmo's and computer games for that matter get the music switched off for me because i just care for it, Eves setting really does cater to the music that i do enjoy. Even swtor got turned off after a week. But as you put it above the music has been in the game a very very long time and it needs some new stuff added and the old stuff some sprucing up - by the original artist. When you talk about music delivery and layers, these are great ideas and i have seen them used in a few music games already. Id like to see this happen, back in the old days all the computer games used to contain the midi or mod file to perform the song rather then it be a recording which is all thats used today. i can think of many ways to pull this off and still have great sounding music and its something that would be really cool to see done.
Still i am totally against changing the type of music that is in EvE.

And for those looking for more of the same to change it up with, anything from Ultimae Rec. and Altar Rec. will have your ambience covered. And for your combat you can have some Suntrip rec. but its not all gonna work.
Good article, exactly what was required to make me post something.

Enter At Your Own Rift: Dispelling the WoWhammer myth

Feb 9th 2011 5:57PM (Massively)
I cant beleive this article even exists.
here are some facts for you to think about.

Warhammer and Rifts use the same Engine.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamebryo

i noticed this withine 5mins of play. (i have played alot btw as im not subscribed to other games at the moment.)
The game looks the same, the game plays and feels the same. The interface is the same

and this will be no more successful then warhammer.

the server system will be its downfall, as the game experiance relies on others being around. after a couple of months it will be impossible for new people to enter the game as there will be no low levels to play with.

The game will be fun for awhile but not lasting.

Global Agenda: Year one retrospective and interview, part two

At all those that above that the game hasnt met their expectations, here is a fresh perspective for those reading on and not knowing about GA. i only got into GA a month or So ago. The Trial is untimed. so after playing the Demo for 11+ hrs in 1 day, i said the game is worth buying. The cost is not high and there are no subs. its a great casual game. you will notice that from everyone that enjoys GA it is one of their many active games. if you are looking for 1 game to consume all your time then a majority of people will be disappointed. however for those that wanna have a bash every weekend its good fun.
