Joystiq's new commenting system is live

Apr 5th 2012 12:56AM (Joystiq)
I'll give it a shot, but what I've noticed so far is that it takes FARRRRRRR longer to load the webpages, and I missed the upvoting and downvoting system, reminded me of Reddit, but far simpler and useful.

Server maintenance extended to 3:00 p.m. PDT

Apr 3rd 2012 4:54PM (WoW)
Why would server maintenance take so long today? Isn't it kinda a routine day, nothing big happening on the live client. Unless they're laying the ground for 5.0.

Blizzard opens the Mists of Pandaria floodgates for 100,000 annual passholders

Mar 30th 2012 9:01PM (Massively)
@Ranxerox I think that Blizzard will launch this game mid July. Gives them two months between Diablo 3 and MoP, so they don't compete with themselves. Any later and it could be suicidal for their sub numbers.

Breakfast Topic: What are you just not that excited about in Mists?

Mar 28th 2012 2:00PM (WoW)
Well actually, you don't need to get back to trainers in MoP (unless you want to respec), because you learn your new abilities on the fly.

Also, for the mailbox one, FINALLY engineers have an advantage! :P

OT: My one thing that doesn't excite me is the massive world PvP. I play on Archimonde, and we are hugely low pop. anyway, but more so the Horde outnumbers the Alliance greatly. I'm horde, so I won't be getting slaughtered, but still what fun is PvP is you KNOW you're going to win? This also leaves me with a bigger thing, Blizzard NEEDS to fix low pop. servers, and massive faction imbalance.

Mists of Pandaria tries to breathe new life into an old World of Warcraft

Mar 19th 2012 5:00AM (Joystiq)
@HaVoK308 Because some people actually still would enjoy WoW over GW2. I know people are hyping GW2 to be the savior of MMO's, but in the gameplay videos I've watched, and trust me I've seen a ton, it doesn't look as ground-breaking as people said it would be. I will be trying it out (hey it's F2P, essentially), but right now I'm not completely hooked.

Mists of Pandaria: Zones and questing

What's controlling the mantid? Hmm bug race... seems familiar here. Nope, can't think of anything.

Star Wars: The Old Republic 1.2 update big enough for a trailer

Mar 8th 2012 1:23AM (Joystiq)
@LordPoncho Hopefully they can keep this up, for many MMO's a lot of new content is available right after launch because they weren't able to get it in the game.

Rumor: Assassin's Creed 3 screens leaked

Mar 2nd 2012 6:04PM (Joystiq)
@darcwolf But, but, but.... they've shown off the new Ghost Recon, and Rainbow Six, even before the new Assassin's Creed. Also, Assassin's Creed sells a ton of games every year, so they'd be stupid not to make another one, plus it's going to finish up the story. Finally, if you're going to call out someone, please use correct grammar.
