For what it worth, I totally agree with your point of view, micro transactions tends to put the money thing right "inside" the game, and I hate it, it completely turns me off. I DON'T want to have feel like I am in an IRL shop while playing online.
15 bucks / month and let me enjoy the game, no bullshit, no micro-transactions shit please.
Putting there as well my post from the other thread, looking for help :
Well, I am in EU, I preordered the game through Direct2drive, downloaded and installed it, and I have no clue how to "subscribe" to it....
I am trying to find this out on the official website, and on the SOE website, and I have no clue about it...
What a damn crappy system seriously, no more intel given to the customer after having said '"you need to register your key". What should I do next....?

5 or 6 years ago, I used to organise lan parties at home, and we used to play during 20-24 hours straight, to a lot of different games : Unreal Tournament, Call of Duty, Counter Strike, Warcraft 3...
@Sean D Wow, impressive... that's a shame..... Seriously, I hate this system, how is it possible to tell a guy paying a sub "Yes, you need to pay MORE to get this upgrade, I don't care about your sub"...
Hum, I live in Europe, play to the beta, and never cared so far about the region server thing. Does the lack of current European Servers means that the PC version won't be sold in Europe ?
I don't really care as long as I can play in good condition to the US one, I was just wondering...
@Skyydragonn : Yes, I started to play it a little more than one year ago, and I kept most of my first month just reading, grinding the official wiki articles, going from websites to websites, learning and learning and learning...
Eve Online is the most complex and deep game I have ever seen.

The Daily Grind: What's the most ridiculous microtransaction you've seen?
Jan 14th 2011 8:43AM (Massively)Yes, I don't get how it is possible to ask subscriber to pay even more like that...
Micro transactions in a f2p mmo seems ok, but it is a shame when you are actually paying a monthly subscription.
