Shoot. Now the biggest mistake the investors could make is to panic and release anything, something, in an effort to recoup their losses. This would be a wrong state of mind to release any successful game. Whatever happens from here on out they need to keep cool, take a deep breath, and release a great single player Warhammer game. If they panic and push out anything as soon as they can, it will be obvious and the game sales will show it. You can't recoup costs on a poor title.
I dunno, I just have a sense the money men are in panic mode over their investment. Hey, I would be!
I'm not a PvPer but I gotta say they often seem to get the short end of the stick when it comes to video game content.
And I don't think money has been an issue for this game. Whatever has been holding D3 back over the years, I don't see it being money. More likely it has been conflicts about design decisions between large egos. Power and pride struggles between developers.
Is shoehorning a PC game into a console ever a good thing? I mean from a PC perspective. Or even a gameplay perspective. Which game has been demonstrated to be better off by going multiplatform? My anticipation for GW2 has dropped some on this news.
Groovy! As long as Age of Conan remains live and Funcom keeps improving, expanding, tweaking the game, I'll keep playing. I do take breaks from it, but I like coming back, especially when changes have come down, or content has been added.
TSW better be ready by April if they do launch it. I hope Funcom doesn't flub this up. There is absolutely no excuse for a premature launch, not even money issues, because it would drive a stake right through what is left of Funcom's beating heart.
10 years + and the sequel has yet to arrive. That is way too much time for a game to be in development. If Blizzard can sustain that kind of schedule and be pleased about it, you're right it is their business. But I can't believe the peeps in charge of production would be okay with that. It can't possibly be an efficient use of time and resources.
