Jun 19th 2011 7:15AM (Massively)Although when I look back I can laugh now, like the time I attacked a quest giver in Surefall glade instead of hailing it. And getting lost in the tunnel due to going in without even a firebeetle eye and being blind as a bat.
I think VG had a good balance between the two when starting as a new player and getting to level 20.

Jun 9th 2011 4:39PM (Massively)I can't speak for other MMO's but in Rift there are guilds that catter for both groups of players.
And don't forget in Rift the LFG tool does a good job of keeping players with substandard gear out of groups they don't belong in.

I am having fun with an AOE DPS Cleric alt. It can be a bit seat of the pants, but when 4 mobs your level die at the same moment it is awesome!
RIFT 'Spoils of War' mini-event kicks off today
May 4th 2011 1:16PM (Massively)The big issue for me about bards is that the DPS parsers do not credit us with the damage increase our buffs and debuffs bring to the group / raid.
A couple of guildies have told me now that they think Bard buffs / debuffs DO make a noticeable difference... just a shame it cannot be quantified.
OH! and the event looks good, read about it on MMORPG this morning, will switch from levelling my alt for a little while I think.
