Try Tera, you can gank people while they're in the middle of a raid. That should make you feel like a big man

I don't think anyone's intimidated by a difference in opinion. I think people are tired of PvP gear being gated by grind mechanics and meaningful PvP being competitive only at the tail end of that grind. This guy's argument for that gating is the model that is used all the time and I, for one, am sick of it.

If EVE is a fantastic game, why did you retire?

Your problem is that you, time and again, suggest that people are too stupid to enjoy freeform gameplay.

MMO Week in Review: Panda express

How is this different from CoX? They put out packages and expansions you have to pay for all the time. Oh, it is different in one way, you can't buy things in the CoX cash shop with in-game currency. It's more like PLEX than anything and people don't complain about PLEX.

There's nothing in the leak that says, "buy this and win"

The Resurrection Orb is a little troubling but the boosts and even the loot bundles are nothing to worry about without knowing how rare these things are. Even the Resurrection Orb might be a mild convenience depending on how death works in the game. Even these things are overpowered and necessary, if I'm paying $15 a month, or less, for these things and the game mechanics are fantastic, it's still worth the cost.

SWTOR devs attempt to balance the Force through nerfs

It's not that PvP gear is so much easier than PvE gear to get, though that is part of it. The bigger issue is that at lvl 50 there is literally nothing to do for a week once you finish raiding aside from PvP.

Thank god I found a good PvP guild, otherwise my subscription would be wasted at this point as I would have no reason to log in during Ops Lockout

Trooper nerf is simple, they don't want Combat Medics to be viable in PvE

BioWare's Freed talks Wookiees, relatability, and story-based MMOs

@Joaquin Crowe

Rift invasions are mob-dump zergfests. they're not hard to script. Basically, they're unscripted WAR PQ's.

The scope that Freed, and everyone at BioWare, is talking about is story. Think what you will about Rift, it is undeniable that the story isn't woven into anything you do in Rift. They're always pointing you to some sort of exterior lore database for information on who this person is or why that person is doing that. Additionally, the story in Rift is not yours. It's the story of the people around you with you moving through it. TOR's story, while scripted for you, is at least your story. The difficulty being how to keep all these people making all these decisions feeling as if their choice matters while still keeping them involved with the evolution of their story. This is something i don't think any game, and certainly not Rift, has had to deal with.
