I'd love to see Aion come to the Mac, but I highly doubt it ever will. EQ2 would also be nice, but is another 'never gonna happen'.

There is a clear difference between when SWG jumped the shark and other MMOs such as EQ due to a dramatic exodus of players, and complete shift in the game itself. I agree that EQ really jumped the shark with PoP, which is when even I as a hardcore raider threw in the towel. It like the game had lost its way, and was progressing too quickly for my taste. That and I had been playing the game since a little after release, and maybe I just had had enough. Really we can't tell much about WoW right now, as I think we are really in the midst of it, and we can only really make clear distinctions awhile after the fact. DAoC jumped the shark at some point as well, but I didn't stick around long enough or pay enough attention to watch it happen.

I agree with many, as a student I know a lot of people enjoyed the reasonable price, now that's gone I am sure piracy will increase ten fold at my school.

All security concerns aside this is amazing, I am a huge vi user and this could make my life so much better.

Here in Rochester NY the local gamestop & EB in the mall were packed, me and my buddy arrived 11:00 and the line was pretty small then, it soon grew in a snake around the mall, and this was only for gamestop, the line seemed smaller but still formidable at the EB down the hall. A lot of serious wowers out there tonight braving the weather, had a good chat with some guys in line about the usual wow related crap, good times were had, plenty of copies around.
