The 10.2 Million sub number comes is from 12/31/11, barelly 2 weeks after SWTOR launch. (Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft® Remains #1 Subscription-based MMORPG with Approximately 10.2 Million Subscribers as of 12/31/11).

The true impact of SWTOR on WOW won't be seen till around 3/31/12

Interesting how some people seem to refer to the release as many years ago. It was only September 2008. The game is barelly three years old... Of course for 2 of those years the game has been virtually dead.

Time to shut it down and hope somebody else can do something with the IP.

Unfortunately the upcoming WAR 40K mmorpg doesn't look like it is heading in the right direction either.

This is great news for the large number of Oceanics we have playing on the "The Jekk'Jekk Tarr" server. Coupled with them finally getting their act together and allowing Amazon to dispatch on the 15th means that if you chose the fastest delivery option you should have uninterrupted play.
