@Brockobama321 weird. i never had an issue with blink the whole 4 years i played wow. maybe youre doing it wrong? it has its limits. you cant just blink anywhere and everywhere, and i dont think it was ever designed that way. or maybe im not sure what youre talking about?
the graphics are phenomenal. the gameplay is ... pretty fun. i dont hate the game but i gave up on it 2.5 to 3 weeks in. i made it to 30. i enjoyed the ride there. there is "end game" content but it just wasnt appealing to me. the pvp was fun but there are WAY too many stuns, knockbacks, etc in the game. in pvp you are spamming shift (or whatever key you have bound to breakout) 90% of the time. there doesnt seem to be any diminishing returns. it might be there but it seems broken if there is. there are instances and raids but i never did any of them more than once. i would have loved to stay for the pvp but it just felt broken and boring. once i got over the awesome graphics/world, i realized there wasnt much there for me. not trying to sh!t on the game, alot of people really enjoy it. maybe if i had more free time. ill be playing rift and just dont have the time for another game
@Tempes Magus looks like youve been on a rampage on this thread. you dont have to agree with me. you dont have to agree with anyone. if theres an "unwanted" class, its on the devs to provide incentive for the players to play it. yes, ALOT of people roll flavor of the month classes and then get pissed when they get nerfed. but in most mmorpgs, theres something for everyone. pick what YOU want to play, not what produces the highest numbers. the only time ive ever been a FOTM class is if its what i happened to pick. i never pursue it. in DAoC my main was a cabalist, and at the time, no one wanted one in their group. but join a guild with people you enjoy playing with and it doesnt matter. my other "main" was a minstrel which could pretty much get a group at any time. each mmo i usually play a pet class and some type of support class. in rift, my main is going to be a bard. will it become FOTM? who knows, but it fits my playstyle and i thoroughly enjoyed it during beta. i also intend to play a necromancer. will it become FOTM? does it really matter? for me personally, i like "classes". i enjoy the names of the classes. i enjoy the feel of the different classes. honestly, a classless system sounds extremely boring. but thats just me
looks pretty awesome honestly. my manager plays eq2 and ONLY eq2. he buys the year subscription each year and has been playing since day1. i admire that kind of commitment and willingness to stick with one game for such a long time. im hoping to casually play rift for years and years
classless systems can work but id much rather "be" something. i wanna be a lvl50 whatever. not a... uhhh i have 12 points in archery, 22 points in sword, i picked up a fireball spell ... uhhh. i wanna be a goddamn lvl90 juicecrafter
epic screenshot. ive heard alot of good things about lego universe but from what ive read it seems more geared towards 4-10 yr old age group. any adults out there playing lego universe and having a good time? i need to look more into it. my manager at work loves it and is playing it untill rift comes out
@Jade Effect +1 daoc was my first mmo. preSI it was just a phenomenal game. SI didnt ruin it and a necro was actually my first lvl50, followed by a minstrel and a cabalist. i loved that game more than life itself. ive been back a couple times. since returning ive gotten a bonedancer to 50 and a heretic to 50. the rvr just isnt at all what it used to be. if they brought back old frontiers and added an open warband/party feature like warhammer, it would be the greatest thing ever. the few times ive been back, i LFG forEVERRR and when i finally get picked up the people feel like elitist jerks. back in the day everyone was nice and had a good time. aaaahhhh i miss it so much
@Chambers im with you. even after reading the wiki link i still dont really know wtf it means. in reference to the article though .... you have a good tank, which means dps just has to stand back and dps. so therefore ... umm wait... what?! youre saying its boring once everyone gets gear.... isnt that the way its supposed to be? rofl. i dont get it. from an immersion standpoint, the monster is dumb, he doesnt know the dude in the back is causing him the most damage. the monster is more focused on the guy right in his face that keeps slamming him with a shield. from an immersion standpoint, i dont think the "monster" has real life meters running to tell him who he should attack. maybe im just really confused
@Khalus HOPEFULLY they do some serious work on helping us find groups. a public test server would be great so we could figure this stuff out before they launch it. i fully support the new time and while im not playing ffxiv as much as id like to, i still jump on from time to time to see how its going. i never made it past lvl27. i love that theyre encouraging grouping, but the inability to find a party does suck. maybe this will start to change over the next few days and people will be more willing to group. soloing has become extremely boring at this level.
