@Vormir

What are you talking about? Are you the type that only wishes to hear someones opinion if it correlates with your own? When I am deciding to partake my time and money into a game I want to hear both sides.

Costs matter but obviously you are not completely sold simply because they had a large budget. People whom are bored of Warcraft or Rift still come to this game because its not only developed by a wonderful company (Bioware) but also a wonderful franchise.

So if those that beta tested it felt it was was linear and boring. Then take that to heart and think before posting fanboy reactionary comments.

SWG and City of Heros are more a sandbox game. If this game focused more on a sandbox universe with a theme park inside it would be a much more memorable game.

No one will enjoy this response. I love me some Wookiepedia. I love Star Wars as a whole. Signed up in 2008 hoping to get an invite one day. Once I finally did in early 2011 before all the pre-launch beta keys went out. I played to level 20 and uninstalled the game. I love the combat. I love the voice acting. I love how it helps you care more about your mission.

But after making the third character and seeing very little change from story to story.

But what really got to me was that familiar feeling when you no longer understand your own reasoning to continue playing a game that bores to straight to tears. That feels like rails, feels like Warcraft. Better than Warcraft but only slightly. When you come right down to it. I wish Warcraft had this much commitment with voice acting. Would make the game even more enjoyable.

So I sadly cancelled my preorder. The game is pure boredom. But I am happy others are excited.

You are all forgetting. With failure looming, they still have failed to provide a trial. That's SOE marketing for you.

You seem to forget this is an indie company. Not a multi billion dollar company with almost ten years prior permanent fan player base. I think you are the politician saying much and meaning very little.

You have to live in the gray and see both sides.

A lot of people left because in the beginning a lot of people got away with cheating their stats up which also made the game unbalanced. Lots of cheats happened. A lot of people in that game have way too much wealth due to the imbalances.

Im sure you could grind all that back up to.

Not the same thing. SWG had a player base. This game's population is very very very low. Currently trialing. Last time I played the servers were packed.

This is actually a pretty good game. If they gave new people the ability to enjoy it. Now there are no levels in this game but right now my character would be equivalent to level ten. So im farming trolls and right when im about to port out a fireball hits me. Long story short 3 reds attacked me. Understanding that reds usually have pretty decent gear and stats. I just stared at them. No honor. Feverish need to kill newbies that have nothing worth stealing.

Now i love pvp. Love sandbox FFA PVP ONCE I am ready for it. Once my character is ready for it.

Now I may seem biased by saying this but wipe it. Wipe this turd and think about the people who would enjoy putting an investment in without giving no honor newbie grinders the incentive. Well. Here is the last thing that bugs me. The reds feed on new players. Possible new subscribers. If they enjoy their game. They frustrate and kill off the money providing the developers paychecks and keeping the servers up. Pays for bandwidth and maintenance and now expansions.

So why allow the system to run like that?

This is were a small bit of regulation would come handy.
