Whatever their reasons were for this delay, it was one of the worst commercial decisions that I have seen for a while. Nexon Europe needs to re-evaluate those responsible for this brilliant plan.
A plan to wait more than a year for all the hype to die, not to make any use of all the advertising done for the US release, not even talk about the EU release, keeping everyone in the dark with only a page http://vindictus.nexoneu.com/ that looks more like bad joke...
One of the things I loved most about MXO was how it was impossible to tell who was an official event character and who was a player character playing an event that is sanctioned by their faction because everyone was taking it that seriously. There we so many dedicated roleplayers in the game who were in-character all the time, with more characters being created just for the sake of successful events, it was all a blur of fun and storytelling.
I remember an event that we organized as the machine faction Tetragrammaton, with videos and forum posts and event characters appearing in the game weeks before the event, walking around and talking with the players... When it came to pass, there were hundreds of people there to participate, the way everyone took it seriously and showed up was simply stunning... Hope everyone had as much fun with it as we did.
As Itoao said, I use pressing to the right stick as my push to talk button. (the one that Windows recognizes as button ten when you press on it)
When you go to settings, key bindings, you need to scroll down to see the key bind for push to talk. You can grab the right thingy with mouse to go down if you can't manage it with joypad. Then, when you push the right stick to register it as the push to talk button, nothing will happen ,it will still write 'none'. But it actually registers as a valid button and works after that. You can also assign any other buttons on the joypad for this task, and they don't show up but work in a similar way. But I found the right stick to be just the perfect tool for this job.
Using a joypad is the best way, and great fun, for this game. It is a change from the classic keyboard & mouse MMO routine. Everyone should try playing it with one instead of being thickheaded. ;)
