There are quite a few mmorpgs that I play on a regular basis. Like others have stated here, if I like a game enough the community won't keep me away. I usually close chat, find a good guild and play with friends.
Yes the way folk behave in chat bothers me, but I think it's a symptom of what's going on in their lives. It's prevalent and not up to me to fix

My opinion is the problem is world wide. The bad communities aren't just limited to mmorpgs. I've seen nasty post on news forums as well. IMO it has to do with the fact that people ( individually) are miserable and want to take it out on others by being other focused and refusing to uplift themselves from the dirth they find themselves in.

@pcgneurotic I'm also always returning to EQ2. I love it. So many things to do and no pressure to get to max level

I would make a hot Twi'lek trooper who is slowly developing a fancy for the dark side. She's very much attracted to the Huts and wants one as a sidekick.

Amen to that. I don't know how many countless times I've had guild invites shoved in my face as well as heard other people complaining about certain guilds doing blind invites.

@(Unverified) You're right. The enchantress is the only class though that is gender locked . I've briefly looked at the character creation before starting, my bad =)

I've played PW games off and on. I get bored quite easily with the blatant push for CS use in their games though.
I've had some fun grouping with my son but all in all I don't have ( or care to have) an uber leet character. I normally don't play these types of games for long at all ( maybe a month at best)
