I agree with you Larry, all I can say at this point is that I hope they do confirm these soon and I hope that there’s more playable races tba.

Well as far as the Purebloods, enough of them fled to Dromund Kaas that after a thousand years of baby making they grew in numbers hence their reemergence. I don't mind them being in game, however I really hope they add a few more playable races.

I know D.E. has used the romance excuse about not making some of the races playable, but Look at Kit Fisto (Nautolan) and Aayla Secura (Twi'lek) they would have had a relationship together if it wasn’t for their devotion to the Jedi Order.
They’ve also talked about the issues of certain races wearing helmets and masked. I don’t know why they just don’t make special helmets for those races?

The "big bet": EA aims at a half-million subscribers to make SWTOR profitable

The game will get 1-2 million subs in the first month. Then it will slow down but by the end of 2011 it'll have 3-4 million subs.

I'm glad theres so many people who think they know this game but don't. Their comments help keep most of the kiddies away (anyone under 25).

Free for All: Revisiting the rules of immersion

Thank you for this article. I feel less like a freak now. :)
I do some of the same type of things in mmos I play.

The Soapbox: Respect the IP (or, why MMOs can't)

Nov 17th 2010 2:05AM (Massively)
I didn't play SWG when it came out because I wanted to play as a Jedi or Dark Jedi but because of the setting and lore at the time they were few. So it made sense that you couldn't play one. Then when they started adding the Jedi into the game i still didn't play it because its wasn't right. So I've been waiting and hoping for a new SW mmo that is set in a time when there were many Jedi. Now TOR is on it's way! :D

Besides that I am hoping that WoDO will keep to its Old WOD lore. Otherwise I won't play it.

I'm glad the companions will have more to do then just stand around in the ship. (Since you can't take them all with you on missions.) I rather have them do all my crafting while I'm engaged in the story arcs. Then again what does a Jedi need besides a lightsaber? (which is the only item I want to craft myself.) I guess my companions will need to craft all their armor and weapons haha while I'm meditating on being one with the force! :D

Questionable EVE attack deals 30 billion ISK in damage

So what is the point in having the good stuff? If you can't use it because you have to hide it at the station to prevent people from coming after you?

So you have a beautiful looking game vs pvp, scams and now wannabe suicide bombers. Whats questionable is a company that supports these types of degenerate behaviors.

Permadeath considered for World of Darkness MMO

Oct 1st 2010 7:03AM (Massively)
I would be disappointed if it didn't have permadeath. Since its apart of all TT and LARP roleplaying games. It would ruin the immersion if it wasn't included. Besides a game that aims to be focused on social interaction would do well to include it. If theres no permadeath then the game will be nothing but pvp and everyone who wants to be a Prince will be fighting all the other Prince wannabes. A lot of players having no real experience in WOD/V:TM TT or LARP will get into the game and disregard the roleplay mechanics (since this is an original roleplaying game) and just pvp. Permadeath will fix that problem.

The people that don't want permadeath most likely never played the table top game or LARP version. Permadeath should be the accepted norm for this game. It should be expected.
