I can't wait for this game.

ArenaNet expands on microtransactions in Guild Wars 2

This game has my full support.

At first, I was a bit worried but I like this alot more now.

It's how I would like to see the MMO world as a whole.

I appreciate Mike O'Brien taking time to address the concern unlike "some" other developers do.

EVE Online's The Mittani issues formal apology for crossing the line [UPDATED]

Everyone likes to apologize when they have something to lose.

These are never "real" apologies.

They are saying what they need to say out of fear.

The Daily Grind: Are MMO players tired of beefcake?

Mar 26th 2012 10:35AM (Massively)
I actually play female characters as alts and a male as my main though...

I don't know what people consider "beef cake" but I try to find a male character that fits me body wise. These would probably be the "beef cake" ones.

But know that the male ego is just as intimidated by muscle bound men as women are with well...women. For example when I go to the gym, some men that just walked into the gym will see people more fit than them and just leave.

I've never seen women do that.

I think anyone that goes through the trouble to complain about what a video game character looks like has major self perception issues to begin with.

Not as bad as the homophobes who say "I don't play males because I don't want to stare at a guys butt all day!". If you are going to play a female character just do it, I play one for my alts but I don't add any lame ass excuses for it.

SWTOR devs attempt to balance the Force through nerfs

Mar 24th 2012 5:10AM (Massively)
@OutThere It always happens this way.

Devs think they can ignore making a decent PvP system at the start then when they find the majority of their players PvP, they try to "balance" it.

What is backwards about this game and tells me devs don't use much logic is....they made the PvP gear almost exactly the same as PvE gear.

Only PvP gear is much easier to get.

So what did they think would happen?

Why I Play: Star Wars: The Old Republic

" No, you can't go completely off the rails, but you aren't shoved into the usual mentality by which you have to do every quest and each quest has to be done in a specific way. My character can object to things she finds morally objectionable, even if she still winds up having to play along."

Interesting.

@ Eliot Lefebvre

Please give me examples of the missions you are talking about.

Blizzard acknowledges TOR's impact on WoW

@Shirvington

Yeah. The difference is:

One game has been out for many years and the other has been out for less than 4 months.

@Acidbaron

Going to agree with this.

I saw the MTs coming already.

I just want to know how extensive it will be.

Also, on TOR STATUS. Some people would have you believe it doesn't give you a GOOD idea of how the populations are on SWTOR. I can tell you they do by a simple test. Ask what server most people who say their server has a healthy population.

http://www.torstatus.net/shards/us/stats

Most people who are on populated servers ALWAYS mention they are on the servers in Orange/Yellow. Notice the majority of the servers however are in the green.

When they are in the green, that means they have around 400 or less players on the server. This probably wouldn't be a problem if the game wasn't so instanced.

Uh...not sure how I feel about this...
