I like pirate games, however when I saw some screenies from this game, one of them looked like the typical asian model of a pretty boy and not like a pirate. Sorry, but I will pass on this one.

The only pirate game I still play is Disneys Pirates of the Caribbean Online.

I wouldn't be making any comparisons to Lotro just yet. I was a long time subscriber until they announced they were going to the hybrid model. It all sounds good at first, but you are dividing the community into the haves and have-nots. Bottom line if someone has the money to pay they are probably already playing and the only people they will gain are those wanting to play for free.

Free Realms proves that SoE can't run a f2p game either. My kids have been playing it for awhile now and if you have followed it and read the forums, it's losing paying customers left and right. They haven't added any new content in a very long time and recent changes made it impossible to go any further into the game than level 4 without paying. The only thing they are updating are things in the cash shops.

There are very few p2p games worth playing anymore. When the last one's die out I guess i'm done with this genre.
